I agree! Pinterest is full of ads and links 😢🤬. Pinterest used to be the bee's knees!

its really funny(not funny, just sad) to scroll through pintrest now with firefox and with an adblocker, seeing huge chunks of white space where ads would be.

Just want to say that these types of videos are MY FAVORITE of all the videos you do. I love hearing about the creative process and brainstorming ideas & combining different techniques and art forms.

Yaejiyea, I just wanted to say that your insight into fiber arts has been such an inspiration to me lately. I started crocheting in 2020 as relief from covid and I started out making hats and headbands. Within the past year, I have been experimenting with making garments out of crochet thread, using inspiration for crochet that isn't actually crochet, etc. I have found your channel a couple months ago and I just love watching your content.

I really really appreciate your interest in garment construction and pushing the boundaries by using your knowledge to do things in new ways. Growing expertise. I imagine some of that is related to your engineering background (iirc?) but it aligns so well with what I’m doing in my crochet / knit journey. I’m really glad I found you!

I saw a woman on tiktok who made filet crochet panels to decorate her jean cuffs & pockets! Lately I am very inspired to combine crochet lace & garment sewing in more ways. I think it would be interesting to sew like a yoked dress where the yoke has a crochet lace overlay. I think combining crochet and sewing is a lot more common historically, so I should investigate vintage and antique patterns and instructions.

I’ve been getting into needle lace and bobbin lace. Eventually, I want to make my own metal buttons through carving the metal and soldering it together. Also want to get into shoe making and leather purse making. That is so exciting that you’re learning to sew and to drape. Draping is actually my favorites to do. It opens the door for so much vision for your own work. I can’t wait to it. ❤

the cape you talked about around 9:33 reminds me of the little 4-color mohair crop jennie wore in her music video Mantra

Norman from @NimbleNeedle recently did a cool video on steeking techniques (including with a crochet hook), if you want any additional references.

A 100% off topic, but I think you look a bit like Haerin from NewJeans 💕💕 which is a huge compliment! I think you would suit her makeup style a lot too 💕
