I can attest that what Ben is stating is 100% true. I am a medical officer in the idf and i can talk about one instance out of dozens that occured when i was in Gaza where the idf risked its on soldiers to actually keep innocent palestinians safe. I remember one time a hijabi woman woke our tank up with cries for help for her 4 young kids and her. We gave them food and water and took them to an elementary school that was used as a humanitarian shelter, while risking our on lives in doing so. On the way there she was telling us how her husband joining Hamas ruined her and her children's lives. It is absolutely ABSURD to me to see so many young americans with a savior complex criticizing Israel when we go out of our way, when we absolutely don't have to, to minimize casualties.

Ben, your first response should have been to ask if his concern is about the lose of lives of Arabs/Islamics. If so, why isn't he asking about the war between Syria and Yemen how many adult deaths and child deaths? As I'm sure you know the count is more than 500,000 how does that compare with the number of deaths in Gaza?
