They really had me going. All my instincts were telling me that Mysterio was gonna betray Peter and become the villain, but but the time I saw the movie, I was really pretty convinced that they were going 100% for a multiverse alternate version of the character. I didn't realize the truth until Peter tried to give him the glasses and he said no; that's when I knew they were what he wanted all along. So I figured it out, about 30 seconds before the movie just revealed it to us. That's pretty successful and skillful marketing in my view, but maybe I'm just an idiot and everyone else figured it out way before I did lmao

This guy is one of my favourite actors. Still sad he was robbed an Oscar nom for nightcrawler. He is amazing in every movie he’s in, also just loved prisoners. From indie projects to large scale projects he is so genuine and humble. His sister is also a great actress and has that same humbleness. What a family.

First off…This guy has to be one of my favorite interviewers. He listens…and asks questions that aren’t the same basic questions all the other ones ask. I think he brings out the actors actual feelings and intuitions of their characters or about the other actors they work with…in a way that a lot of the others don’t. Second…Jake G is just…………an awesome human. Acting? Of course! No question! But just…him. The way he looks at things and people, his work ethic, his humor…all of it. Amazing

The nice thing about Jake is that he has never let all the publicity that has surrounded him for years ever fool him , but has stayed true to himself and has always been down to earth unlike most of the other Hollywood stars of our times that live in a fantasy world .

Prince of Persia was a great movie. The real weak point of the movie was that bad hair weave that they put on poor Jake. But he was talented (and handsome) enough to overcome that weasel fur that was attached to his head.

However the marketing campaign was done so skillfully, they really had me believing their "new take" on the character for a significant chunk f the movie, despite everything I know about Mysterio. I saw one drawing of mysterio once in one comic and maybe read the name once. I didn’t even see the trailer for far from home but when I went to see it I knew by the time he was showing Peter the holograms of the elementals that he was actually going to be a villain in this just because I knew Jake from recent movies I’ve seen him in like when he played in Nightcrawler, I don’t know how many other people in the theater knew, I didn’t know the character was supposed to be a villain or hero or not I just could tell he was lying and that something was up well before that scene in the bar.
