You'd think someone who tries to prove people wrong by arguing semantics when everyone knows what everyone means would at least know his own hat. But that's to be expected from the people who metaphorically murdered every type of outfit I like. I finally get in a college where nobody would resort to glasses-insults, and immediately after I start needing them, Hipsters come along. I'd rather just go back to being four-eyes. At least then I would have had the option to take off the glasses and say "No. It's one and a half."

It has it's uses actually, there are a number of places where swimming can be used to bypass a bunch of areas, though you can't run the game with it. Environmental resistance could be awesome if you know how to use it. Do thermoptic camos to go invisible sound useless? What about ballistic armor which can negate nearly all damage taken? How about the hazmat suits for the numerous areas where you can get tranq'd, or electrocuted, or when you use gas grenades to clear out a room yourself? People only call it useless because you can very easily get through the game without using it, but in actuality, it makes it the perfect Action-RPG stat.

@Xenodamus They didn't dumb down the game for the consoles. They dumped it down for a new generation of gamers, who are much less hardcore than the old one. Every 5 years or so the costs of making a game become 5x as big so you have to sell 5 times as many copies to break even. As a reesult a modern game has to sell multiple million copies in order to be a success and developers are forced to appease a large audience. It sucks, but I don't see anything that can be done to help.

If a game is designed for Keyboard and mouse in mind, then it doesn't matter what genre it is, it will control more naturally with a a keyboard and mouse. Otherwise, you can pick and choose what control method you prefer with impunity. Side note; any game designed with PC controls in mind is, obviously, a PC game. Since the PC as a system have a plethora of control avenues available to be woven into a games design, its rarely worthwhile to limit yourself with a controller.

It's really just personal preference I suppose. Although you're second point is incorrect as a game can be designed for both PC and console (See most games) So the controls will be designed to suit either platform whilst the game is still a multi-platform game. The only real definite advantage isn't for playing games though as that's an opinion. Games are easier to make for a console as there are defined hardware limitations while a PC has a wide variety of hardware that needs to be considered.
