I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think it likely has to do with Gosho Aoyama (The author of Yaiba) moving on to Detective Conan. Magic Kaito (His other manga) doesn't get chapters very often (The last two volumes got published ten years apart)

I watched this 8years ago as a child, was there ever any more episodes after the kid defeated the bunny people and kept the thunder and wind swords? Did he and the ghost man ever fight again (where there ever more episodes?) I watched it in Chinese and don't know the translated English names sorry, but the nostalgia is killing me! EDIT: Re watched the whole anime in the space of a week, and even after all these years I still remember exactly what happens and what lines the characters are going to say! Still sad they never continued the anime, and I can't get hold of the manga. Does anyone perhaps know the song used in the last episode when the youth is restored and bunny people leave earth? Would be a great help thanks!

Still looking for the song that plays near the end of the last episode, after Yaiba defeats Kaguya, the dragon orb is returned to the guardian and the youth is restored to the public. Just casually decided to read through yeah comments again and damn! I really wish they made more of the anime, it's sad to see it left on an unfinished ending. Would loved to have been able to see the little dude now with both wind and thunder swords vs the man with the horns now with the moon sword! +Liang Song not sure if this is too late for reply, afterward he and the demon dude they fight at the end again. the demon guy planned to revive leviathan which is the whole japan country (the island is actually its dormant body frozen) yaiba learned to combine both thunder and wind sword to become themaster sword which was more powerfull than the dragon sword with the help of the bunny queen. shes not dead she is just united with the earth because she loved the planet so much that she imbued her spirit into it. so that pretty much sums it up.

I dont know because I loaned it from library like 16 years ago. But the impression it left me was the intensity of the battles and the effects are cool. The anime did not complete the story ( its a very nice manga. or maybe u can request for translations? it may be great. also dont miss violinist of hamelin. (these aniimes are lot nicer than most animes nowadays).
