I think the cinematic is what really makes it, it is just so fun and silly to me seeing kiryu in those glasses in that room looking like he's in a 2006 edm music video with the wide hand gestures and everything, its so funny to me and i love it

Just why? I always wonder why ppl like rap? And the Gaiden Opening theme was done to attract western audience more.

I’m not a fan of rap, but there are some rap songs out there that are pretty good. It’s just that either they’re super old or get overshadowed by the newer more generic rap music. It’s just that I find nowadays that the rap music that does get popular is the same generic copy and paste trap beat with someone mumbling overtop of it. Which is a shame because there probably are a lot of talented rap artists out there who don’t get the recognition for it. Also I love Kiryu rapping because it’s so comical and beautiful.

the main thing that people love about rap is the lyricism it's less about melodies and shit most of the time and more about what's really being said (not to say that more melodic songs can't have meanings, and that rap can't have melodies) my friend best described it as 'urban poetry'
