This game feels genuinely depressing to play through, especially if you're a fan of the franchise. Just seeing the city you've seen so many times in these games in pieces all crumbled up and infested with zombies hits different

Yeah, there is something tragic and horrifying about Kamurocho, once the red light district that many people called home, being reduced to nothing more than a city of the damned... What's worse? That quarantine zone kept simply getting larger until only the outskirts were unaffected meaning instead of directly solving the problem, people chose to run and hide, sweeping the problem under the rug like any other inconvience until it blew up in their face. If Kiryu and company hadn't been there when they did, all of Japan, if not the entire world, would've suffered the same fate.

I find it funny that in Infinite Wealth that Kiryu had dreamed about this game that includes everything even the substories, weapons, the main villain’s questionable reason to release the zombie outbreak. What sucks is that Yokoyama said it’s not profitable since the game nearly killed the series

I’d love that honestly, sometimes the frame rate dives a little too hard 😅 they won’t do it though, it flopped. It’s more of a collectors item nowadays! A fun but lost chapter in the Yakuza series 🥹

ok. to be honest, the one guy in the beginning coulda taken the whole fucking place by himself if he were a bit more strategic. For example, clear out the sewers leading to safe zones first and expand the safe zone. then clear out a single street using the natural blockades to their greatest effect. bring in a few other survivors to set up killing corridors with the natural blockades and the guns from the dvd shop

Everything about this game would be a million times better if they mapped reticle aiming and strafing left to right to L1 instead of having two different aim modes. What if you got character relative aiming and stationary turret aiming in the same game? You get Dead Souls and it's awkward. Game isn't bad, but this simple fix could've made the game more enjoyable all though the game does start to feel montonous after a point. So much zombie killing and the game stops introducing new enemies at the halfway point.
