Yakuza Kiwami 2 - PS4 Pro vs PS5 Comparison

Just doing a video to compare graphics/loading times between the two consoles.

Load time from the club to street seems to have been halved, 25 vs 12 seconds. Would be nice if this and other games got a 1440p/60FPS patch.

Just started this on base PS4 and it looks horrible even compared to Kiwami 1, really hope they patch it. Maybe after a few more hours I can get used to it but it's pretty jarring

I thought that too, I guess it's cause we were used to the 60fps of Kiwami 1, and here they dropped suddenly to barely 30fps (cause the Dragon engine is actually pretty heavy). Good thing they are 30fps stable on ps5. Hope they patch it to make it 60fps

@@davednz1264 yeah it sucks...dont understand why they went this direction when Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1 look decent targeting 60fps. And I assume that Yakuza 6 and Judgement are the same. I really hope they fix them all on ps5 cause Im liking the series a lot, this is a real bummer

yeah, I played this about 5 days after beating 0 and it was really jarring. Attacking felt really slow

@@cmoneytheman because it's a fighting game... try to play kiwami that is 60fps and then play kiwami 2 that runs on 30fps~ ... it feels laggish and slow

@@r0b1n994 well it Is slower but all games dont need 60 running a game at 60 dont make it a better game why do fighting matter the game is slow paced if u want a change why not something like better graphics or adding to the game adding 60 to a slow pace game wont mean much and not all games can run 60 and hold it is that good to if a game is a unstable 60 just cause it's a higher number the way u followers say that 60 crap it's like yall never played a game at lower then its lots of great classics and super classic game that run at 30 only is they not fun cause the number is lower fighting games the original style is from the side view like a mk or tekken which usally do better at 60 these yakuzas is not fight games first they adventure mixed with fighting not the same style at all like the games I said u need to look up games more and stop just reapsting the same thing cause u seen other followers use it 60 is not a benefit with all games all games dont need it but all games should have stable frames

@@cmoneytheman I've got to say, after reading articles about games being capped to 30 fps even on PS4 Pro, its a self-reminder that frames aren't everything. You're pretty right about this. At least it plays, and it beats the crap out of attempting to play a game on PC that runs at 1-5 FPS because its not powerful enough to run the said game at all. There were tons of games that ran on 15-20 FPS on PS1 and the N64, and folks still love 'em, including myself, because they play fine. After trying some games that didn't meet minimum system requirements on a 486DX2 back in the day that were designed with Pentium in mind, its much easier to appreciate console 3D game releases of that era. I couldn't upgrade to a Pentium or a Pentium II in the late 90's because they were expensive as heck, leading me to go with the N64 pretty soon after to play the 3D stuff.

@@themegaman91965 its sad people so addicted to 60 like a drug people wasnt actin like this before the net was popular bragging on it and I know they wasnt cause I never heard nobody say that 60 crap when I was growing up im 30 so I know it wasnt talked on until the net started putting it in folks face why do folks never say we want stable frames and 60 or just stable frames and low or no stutter which is real impressive why is it always just 60 so it dont matter if the game dont hold that 60 or only hits 60 sometimes or stutters all that matters is that the number is 60

It's like overkill to play this on PS5 even though I have played most yakuza games on xbox. Kiwami 2 feels and looks pretty horrible on the Xbox One base.

Even on ps4 it works great, it doesn't load as long as kiwami 2 or song of life, and the graphics are working in 60fps on both consoles. You can't expect much higher quality on ps5 since it's only remaster

it's not that it did not get optimized, the game is just graphically huge to the point that it runs 30fps on PS4

just add ssd to the ps4 pro and it will be the same performance for ps5. i have both consoles but i play this game right now on ps4 pro. figured the ps5 think this is just a piece of cake and waste of energy…❤

The game is optimized for PS4 only at the moment. So if you download this on a PS5, you'd get the same experience.

@KDA (G) IDLE of course not, it runs at a very smooth 60fps on my RTX 2060. I imagine it could go much higher with better cards.
