can the arm that is required to be 90 deg to the door still be adjusted regardless if the the anchor was slightly farther than required?

I think so, but I’d suggest staying close to the 90-degree recommendation by the manufacturer. depending on how far you adjust it, it would probably affect how far you can swing the door open

Hello! this is also hydraulic. In fact it is the hydraulic mechanism that allows it to have the two different speeds, closing and latching. If you are referring to the ones that looks like a tube and are made of aluminum, the major difference is the weight of the door that it can handle.

Hi, I think for this specific model it is somewhat heavy when initially opening the door from the closed position. That tightness/resistance is designed so the door closer would be strong enough to latch the door. You can probably try to play around with the latching speed adjustment and see if it will make any significant difference. I am not entirely sure if there are other designs of door closer out there that easier to open.

@@cayetanojed You can adjust the resistance of the opening by adjusting the Angle of the Arm by moving the point where it connects to the door frame...

Is this also used for the deadbolt plus doorhandle only setup right? I wonder how the doorknob handle only plus deadbolt works because how does the door stays closed in space if the deadlock is not locked and there's no one using the door? Thanks man.

Hi, I'm really sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can definitely use this on doors with the deadbolt and door knob setup. In the video I talked about the closing speed and the latching speed, you'll can adjust the latching speed so that it will just be enough to engage the door knob's locking mechanism when it closes. As for the deadbolt, there's really no way around it but to lock it manually, unless you want to invest on smart door locks where it automatically locks after a set period of time, or controlled via a mobile app.

How to install it for having its arm laid parallel the door? I've once seen this kind of install ........

I think you would typically do the parallel installation if you need to put it on the 'push' side of the door. You will need an extra mounting bracket that will attach the end of the arm to the underside of the top part of the door frame. If you search 'door closer parallel installation' you'll see tutorials on how others did it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for subscribing! What kind of aluminum door do you have? Is it the screen door type? There's another type of door closer for the screen doors which are the tube type and are typically installed on the push side in the middle part of the door.
