You can also cross reference based off that fram number. I am Bad about changing everything over to wix xp where i can't get a cat filter for it.

Thank u. Sorry let me clarify. U will extract just a little bit under 4 quarts if u tip the front of your trailer low and unscrew and empty the oil filter. The 1.8 svho motor is a 5.5 quart oil capacity so u will never extract the full amount on oil changes. There will always be about 1.5qts left in the oil pan left unchanged

Thank u! Loading the ski onto my trailer is very easy. I just push the cart with ski to the end of the trailer, hook up the trailer winch to the ski and crank it until it's fully on the trailer. I installed the Versiplugs on my GP1800R SVHO yesterday and I went on the water today. The versiplugs worked great! My hull was dry. They look cool and obviously work. They are a little difficult to thread on to the oe threads in the hull but work it from different angles. Do not cross, thread them! If it is screwing in at an angle stop, you are doing something wrong.

Definitely do not cross thread them. Make sure they screw in smoothly. It shouldn't be hard to do unless the threads are dirty or wrong size. Then slightly tighten them. Make sure the edges are even against the ski

Hi Khalil. I wash my ski after a salt water ride like i would my car. I rinse it, foam blast it, wash it down and then dry it with my leaf blower. Then wipe it down with a detail spray. I always rinse the motor down and use a wet/dry vac to get water out the hull and ALWAYS leave the seats off to prevent condensation inside the hull from building up and corroding anything underneath the motor that i can't spray down with corrosion spray. I don't winterize because I'm in Florida but u can winterize by spraying fogging oil into the cylinders by removing your spark plugs. Corrosion spray on your entire engine and battery posts. Maintain the battery on a tender. And put dry packs inside the hull if u leave the seats on to prevent condensation. Stabilizer in the fuel too

Thank you. This one is years old but i bought it at home depot and screwed it into the trailer. Same one where my old one was. Ive had these since 2006. They're plastic so u just buy some stainless steel screws and washers and screw them in

It's the same exact ski, year and motor, just different colors. However if u don't feel comfortable doing it then maybe have someone more inclined to help u. Better to be safe than sorry. These aren't cheap machines

Do you have the issue with the false low fuel alarm? Crazy how bad it is and Yamaha keeps saying they are working on a software fix. I have heard but cant find any info on adjusting the tank float arm to compensate. Have you heard anything?

No, my 2021 doesn't have this issue. I believe it was 22 and up. This has been previously discussed in the watercraft journal. According to Kevin Shaw it was purposely done due to a lawsuit from someone that went offshore from the Florida coast and ran out of fuel. Seems legit since Yamaha hasn't fixed the issue in such a long time but i have no knowledge of the incident

Mine is a '21 FXSVHO and yeah I saw Kevins video about. Some people are just asses. Not sure what to do, some people are disconnecting the alarm others put foam on it to lower the sound. I don't like the idea of that since if it overheats I would wan to know ASAP. Thanks I enjoy your posts.

@@JeTsKi_MiSfItS No. I didn't mess with that. Is that related to the problem when filling up and burping ? If so I never had that problem. I just know the alarm is a big PIA. I am on Long Island so it's in the garage now. Just ordering some oil, plugs, salt away and counting the days. I did ribbon delete, BOV , riva plate and have map tuner but haven't used it yet. Got map tuner late in season.
