This wonderful Yamaha grand piano was found at Apollo Piano in Chico, California. It has a smooth action and a lovely sound that I do not expect from Yamaha, but their new CX line of pianos is quite nice!

Your video inspired me. I went to a local dealer to test one. I tried both C3 and C3X, and also C5X. C3X sounds very very good. (C5X, too). From my testing, action is super smooth and precise. The sound is big and warm. I notice also a new frame, and perhaps soundboard. Of course, the new styling is very handsome. I used to own a C3 from around 2002, which was a very nice piano. The C3X won in so many dimensions. I think the new series (maybe new S's and CFX are on the way) will be loved by musicians.

The silent technology is cool and the CX pianos are nice and a good value. You've done this and the C2X. Waiting for the S3X, a truly nice-sounding, (but much more expensive) piano.

Hi. Have you ever played a feurich 133 concert? If not, I recommend you to do a video on it. It's one of the best upright pianos I've ever seen😍. I'm eager to see how Fantasie Impromptu sounds on it...

Hi great sound. Please can you tell me, if I should buy a S3x or a C3x. Is the S3x so much better? Please tell me your opinion. You played both. Thanks and regards from Germany. Stephan
@ThePianoforever5 жыл бұрын
Both of these pianos are wonderful, and I doubt you would find any serious limitations with either of them. The S3X is a fantastic piano with an amazingly warm sound, and it honestly doesn't sound like a 6 foot piano - it sounds bigger to me. But the C3X is a very good piano as well, and I like them both. I think it is up to you, which sound you prefer, and which piano you like more.
@stephanspiano45935 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Is the action Lighter/better of the S3x? Is it easier to play it quietly? The S3x is 15.000 Euros more expensive. Why....
@benjaminsmith22875 жыл бұрын
@@stephanspiano4593 The SX series uses a case with the rim's wood that's treated to have an aged quality. That makes the piano have a deeper sound. I don't know about the action. I think as Yamahas get more expensive the already excellent action gets smoother.

I own a Yamaha C5X and several Kawai grands, have performed plenty on Shigeru grands, and practised on occasion on a Yamaha S6X in my student days. I dislike every SX series Yamahas I've come across - a powerhouse but not a lot of sensitivity with tonal nuance. I prefer the older S series which are quite likeable premium pianos. If you're looking for a premium Japanese grand piano, the Shigeru Kawai is the better musical instrument compared to the Yamaha SX series. It's cheaper too! Otherwise the C3X is a very fine piano. Yamaha made a LOT of improvement from the previous generation C series! I prefer the CX series to Kawai's GX series.

OK , I'm a groove musicians a classical wanna be 🙄 Gospel genres , Latin jazz , ballad , rock , progressive rock , lazz fusion , R&B , hip hop jazz (Robert glassper ) Give me a good advice please I wanna buy a piano that would fit this versatile path I'm taking and just love it , I have in mind Steinway, Fazioli, Yamaha. Is for my house (is gonna be my 2nd baby ) Any expert advice please , much thanks ! I know I sound like I wanna cover a lot a genres but I am a lover of Arts and I do use this genres a lot in my playing lol.

Fazioli and Yamaha SX, and above series are fantastic. I do not recommend anyone buy new Steinways anymore, no exceptions!
@elleondejuda46815 жыл бұрын
And between yamaha and Fazioli, which one would you pick in my taste for music ? Which Fazioli 7 Foot is more suitable for me ? Thanks man !
@ThePianoforever5 жыл бұрын
@@elleondejuda4681 Both make killer 7 1/2 footers. The Fazioli is a F228, and The Yamaha is a SX7. I wish you luck on picking the best one, as it will not be easy, but you can not make a mistake either.

is this piano in a different class (lower class that is) than shiguru kawai sk2\3?
@ThePianoforever5 жыл бұрын
I'd say that the C3X and the SK2/SK3 are trying to be in the same class. However, the Yamaha pianos are much more consistent than the smaller Shigeru models. I have seen them have issues with buzzing and other issues that make them feel less refined than their larger counterparts, as well as less refined and consistent than their competition - Yamaha.
@JitinMisra5 жыл бұрын
@@ThePianoforever the piano with issues you refer to is the shiguru kawai, not yamaha correct? just want to make sure i read it correctly.
@ThePianoforever5 жыл бұрын
@@JitinMisra The smaller SK line have been known to have problems. The top model Yamahas have been doing a great deal better as of late and seem to be very consistent, and not as bright as they were a few years ago.
@JitinMisra5 жыл бұрын
@@ThePianoforever its interesting you comment on the brightness, i never played c7 or c7x( which you made a video of'), is the brightness character of yamaha gone now and are their pianos like c#x series in mellow group now?
@benjaminsmith22875 жыл бұрын
@@JitinMisra It's not that they are mellow, now. They have a different characteristic to their brightness. The sustain of the tones are much improved.
