Been riding a Medium Civante for about 3 weeks now, 24 miles a day. Just a few cons, the light for the assist level is so bright it obscures the computer at night, the backlight is pretty dim and the computer font is really small. That's the cons. Pros: I replaced the bell with a Polar HRM, great arrangement of space for accessories up front. The computer has a USB power outlet, the power addition is pretty mild and you do have to pedal the hell out of it to hit 28. I added Look pedals, the power delivery changes when you can use downstroke and upstroke together, makes it easier to get to 28 and higher. Some people say a rack is difficult to add, but mine fit perfectly, although I can't use the built-in power to run a tail light. If you buy Yamaha's rack/fender for $230, you get a powered tail light. The bike is heavy enough that when you stop you really heat up the brakes. Leave some space for the brakes to fade if you are doing a long downhill. Durability-wise the frame uses a through-frame axle and a super-strong derailleur hanger. Shifts are clean and precise, the 10-speed uses a fairly narrow chain so keep it lubed and clean to ensure it lasts. I really like it, rids much better than I thought and with some triathlon drops you can cut through wind and keep a 25+ cadence for miles.

I heard that the handlebars are positioned very low? Did you find this to be the case?

It may just be how they are mounted by the dealer. By setting the stem in the upward position, it makes the fit feel normal or elevated.

I live in a hilly area. How well Does it do when climbing up hills?
