Dgx670 is a very nice keyboard piano, a excellent bargain. Lovely sounds and accompaniments. A bit annoying about not existing line out. There is a headphone line out. But other than that its very pleasant. Thanks for showing it off😊

Love it! just for fun, why not write on the screen the style, voice or any special settings, so we can try to replicate this on our own beloved DGX?
@WoodyPianoShack3 ай бұрын
actually no special settings here! just factory styles and OTS, so wouldn't be too hard to find them, and you will probably stumble across some even better styles that you prefer... :)

Since your playing far outclasses anything that I can do, imperfections or not, I am enjoying your music. You just attended the launch of the SX-920, and I've been watching a few videos on that. Currently, I have a Korg PA800, which is pushing 19 years old. Right now, I really can't afford a newer keyboard. I want a PA5X-76. However, at its release, the PA800 was the top of the line Arranger keyboard with speakers, the PA1X being the top of the line until the next year when the PA2X was released. So, I love the Yamaha sounds, although I think there's too much effects that you can't get rid of, actually in the samples. Still, they are easy to use and provide a massive bang for the buck. While the DGX-670 is older than the SX-920, Genos 2, etc., I'm still surprised at the quality of the sounds that are available from it for such an inexpensive keyboard. I do wish that Yamaha would make some changes for the DGX-680, however. I'd love to see the speaker system from the new HS4, or even the HS3 installed. I'd love to see more than one Intro and Ending. Finally, I'd love to see the rear panel of the PSR-EW425, with individual audio outputs, and I'd could wish for real MIDI In/Out ports. If we're wishing, I'd like to see an 7" or 8" display, even though it doesn't have to be a touch screen. But, I'm pretty much impressed with this keyboard for it's price point and the sound it puts out.

I already like the CK88's weight, keyboard action, control panel and I/O, when compared to what Yamaha offers, as far as those features go, in their arranger lineup. I might be interested in an arranger module or software, though. A module makes much more sense than software, to me, because it's a self-contained unit with a panel layout that's designed around arranger functions. However, IDK whether thefe would be enough of a market for that... probably not that much.

Very nice playing, Woody. I wish I could do that. It would justify having bought so many synthesizers. I can't help wondering why it's that big though, and what fills up all that space inside it. If you open it up, is there just a mini PC motherboard in there... or maybe a Raspberry Pi?
@WoodyPianoShack3 ай бұрын
i am sure it has a small motherboard, but built in speakers and an 88 mean it can't be any smaller i guess

So early! Woody what do you think of a Korg PA series which would be on a lower end budget let’s say $600? Is it worth it or should I get a Yamaha PSR SX for a similar price instead
@antunkatona56743 ай бұрын
Hi! I don't know if you can get a Yamaha SX for 600 USD, perhaps a preowned SX600. Woody did a most favourable review of the Korg i3 and it sounded really great. It's in your price range but it doesn't have built-in speakers.
@WoodyPianoShack3 ай бұрын
i think yamaha is currently owning the budget arranger market. but check out the cheaper Pas, I might be wrong.
@GaryMCurran3 ай бұрын
The least expensive NEW Korg PA, the PA700, is $2,100 USD. The latest PA versions are the PA5X and those top out of $5,300, but without a speaker. For $600, your choice is either the i3 or the EK-50L. There are huge drawbacks to either keyboard. Based on what I've seen so far, I would stay far away from the i3, and I'm a dedicated Korg fan. The EK-50L would be my choice if I wanted to stay with Korg for under $1,000. If $600 is your limit, I would consider the Yamaha PSR-EW425 76 key portable. I like the fact that it has 76 keys. Even used stuff on Reverb is expensive for Korg. I own a PA800, and that's coming up on 19 years old (model release date) and the least expensive used PA800 on Reverb is $1,100! There are a couple of PA500s, is is $900, the other is $1,000. My PA800 is holding up pretty well. I did have to replace the screen and the power supply, and if you're mechanically minded, it isn't that hard to do (if you can find the replacement parts!) But, the sound and the styles are getting somewhat 'long in tooth.' One thing about Korg and you have to be very careful, is that a lot of Korg models do not have built-in speakers. So, you'll need to buy something like a set of KRK Rokit RP5s, which are very good for keyboard monitoring. I expect for a good used Korg, you're going to spend between $1,500-2,000 USD. Reverb has a lot of stuff there. Some of it is International Shipping, Lebanon and VietNam are two places that come up regularly, but they both seem to have high ratings, so you might be okay. There's a nice PA1000 from VietNam with a $280 shipping cost, and they're asking $1,850 for the keyboard. So, a little over $2,100. For a couple of hundred dollars more, you can purchase a new, just released Yamaha PSR-SX920! Do your due diligence, but you're not going to find a Korg PA series for $600 unless you happen to know someone who has one. On Reverb, there is a PA80 (I used to own one before I bought my PA800), but it's in the UK and they're asking $690 USD, but want over $200 in shipping. This keyboard was introduced almost 24 years ago and was the first in the PA Series of keyboards. It was jaw-dropping at the time, but it is 24 years old. You can go to Reverb.com and put in 'Korg Arranger Keyboards' to see what you can get. But, $600? You're going to be getting really old, or not a 'PA' series keyboard
