Hey man, quick word of advice. Try not to buy a Fram oil filter. Those filters are notorious to blow engines up. Since they’re so cheaply made, the paper inside the filter breaks down and gets sucked into the engine. Try not to get too cheap with motorcycles considering they’re so cheap to maintain already. Mobil1 oil filters are top notch. And their oil. Or also get the genuine Yamaha filter and oil. Just letting you know!

Go to your local dump, and they will have big oil recycling containers that you can put used oil in.

1. Use new crush washer every time. When it's crushed once, it's just a washer.. not a crush washer. 2. Put 2 x 4 flat under kickstand to straighten bike so it fully drains 3. Rub some oil on filter gasket before installing 4. re gas: The knock sensor detunes bike by retarding spark advance when it senses low octane fuel, resulting in less horsepower... use 91 octane like it says.
