I went from 27/10/14 OE size to 28/10/14 tire size. Please let me know if you have any recommendation for tire setup. (Your preference in similar size tires) Also please comment and let me know what do you think of my setup.

I think they look good and I think I'm going to stick with my zillas. I totally relate to them tearing up the lawn

That’s a really nice bike ! I don’t think you can go wrong with either set up . I love that XTR

I like it, made me make up my mind what to do, as not many options in 27 x 10 x 14 , so bumping up to 28 on my Grizzly SE, thank you. Charlie

Rode 100 miles today with the Zillas and besides for the mud and paved roads which accounted for 20% of the day I will be replacing for a more fire road, gravel road, wet rocks and hard packed clay tire. Anything over 40 on gravel etc and I felt as she wasn’t stable at all. Now the mud they were amazing but that’s not what I encounter most of.

Hi, nice ride and video. I had a Grizzly Special Edition from 2009 until just recently. I also put Bighorns on them, but definitely did a lot of research before buying because I know the Bighorns run large. Basically, if you get a 25" bighorn, they are as tall as most other brand's 26" tire. I do a lot of fast trail riding so I wanted to be able to have good control, feedback and light steering. So I went with 25x8x12 up front and 25x10x12's in the back. It was perfect to be able to do what I wanted to do and I liked the look very much. Good riding!

The bighorns are one of the best all around tire, it can do everything a trail will throw at you. Some mud, rock, roots... Anything. I ride in the PNW so we get a really wide range of riding conditions. The square looks neat. I have a regular set up.

I think the narrow front tire setup is great for non power steering models. I'm sure they help make it easier to turn the front wheels. A wider tire is always going to provide more grip, the power steering should help overcome the additional effort needed to steer with the wider tires.

I think they look great. Always been more into performance than looks and comfort though

I like the look of it, ive owned a 2017 grizzly and it was my favorite atv so far. I had bighorn 2.0s on it and they were smooth and durable. My only concern with the wide front tires would be the steering being more difficult and the potential for possible power steering stress mechanically. Its Nice though...I may be getting a new 2021 as well. My favorite bike to date and i have had the rubicon and outlander for comparison. Enjoy!

I just put 26"x9x12 all around on my Kodiak. My back rims are offset too but I still did it. I like the look of 9" in the front but yours look ok too. I know narrow tires steer better up front.

Love the Zillas tires for trail riding I’ve never been struck but they do rip my lawn up bad when moving my trailer, my son has the Bighorn 2.0 on his Kodiak 450 and can go anywhere I go but I still prefer Zillas over BH also their lighter which could put more stress on your front differential , Grizzly looks good.

love my zillas. i ride pennsylvania rocks and no problems. i copied the 27x10 all around on my brute force because i liked the look of it on the grizzly.

we have a 19 and a 20 both SE or xtr models with the zillas on them and i have no issues with the zillas. We are not big mud riders or anything either but our ride exceptionally smooth on the roads too .

I'm struggling with this decision now, have a 21 Outlander max 1000 that has 6.5" rims front 8.5" rear so I would have to change everything. Considered going with this size but do a lot of hard pack road riding as well as trails. But didnt want the steering to become too heavy considering some of the speeds you can be running. It has great power steering but definitely on the fence. I appreciate your video, good looking ride you have.

So far I love the zilla no complaints if they hold up over time I would replace them
@urbanacres71893 жыл бұрын
Ton of people love Zillas. It is just they way I use my atv. Mostly it is hard pack trails.
@northerntoyota75843 жыл бұрын
The side to side tread pattern on the big horns make them look wider than the zillas. I have a 2021 xtr (well it’s a Canadian se model) and the zillas are fine for me in all conditions and wear very well. (Had them before)

Zillas ride very rough for me on hard pack and paved roads for me. I thought Zillas were pretty good otherwise.

I like the big horn set up you have. The front does look a little wide, but barely noticeable 🤷🏼♂️ Do they have a 9" wide option in 28" tall?
@urbanacres71893 жыл бұрын
No 9” wide option in 28” tires. Also the 14” rim from factory is 8” wide so 9” wide tire I would not recommend.
@jessecameron72683 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think it is a little much up front. Weight/size wise, probably wear steering components out faster. Could you have gone stock size 27x10x14 in bighorns all the way around?
@urbanacres71893 жыл бұрын
No that size is not available unfortunately. Honestly there is not much difference in the 27” vs 28”. But Bighorns are heavier tire even if same exact size.

I went with 26x10x14 and love mine. That way I stayed with 10s all the way around

They do look to wide on the front of the grizzly , in my opinion.
@gordlockwood12132 жыл бұрын
That set up looks awesome! I have heard Maxxis tires are typically 1 inch smaller than what they are supposed to be. Are the Bighorns actually 28? Were the Zillas actually 27?
@urbanacres71892 жыл бұрын
Zillas were not 27” and bighorns are not 28”

Notice the extra weight/height have an affect on power delivery? If so how much? I like square but for mud.
@urbanacres71892 жыл бұрын
Yes it does have an effect on power delivery and steering. I did not like the square setup after couple of trips. I switched to 26” staggered setup. I talk about it in some of my other videos.
@legowolf222 жыл бұрын
@@urbanacres7189 Thanks for tge reply. From what I have read, a true 26in skinny/wide combo with purple spring is the most common set up and what everyone switches to after trying out other combos. The engine is great with smaller tires but weight/size affect them a lot more than the v twins.

I like the look of the square setup with the bighorns. But I cant say the same for the 14 in wheels. I think 14 is too large a wheel for an atv.
