I love this baby. Mine has been upgraded with black tusq nut and saddle, and brass pins with abalone. I also added Fishman isys plus for the electronic system. I wish I could play it along with a baby taylor bt2-e, but it's hard to find in my country. Nevertheless, Petit (yep, that's his name) has been really enjoyable. Big thanks to Yamaha for making this product.

You might have a JR2 instead. If not, yours might need strings and a set-up.

Love the JR1 and JR2 co I didn't doubt the JR2s was just as great! Maybe it's the mic, but it sounds like there's more of the low-end in this model than the others. Thanks for the video!

I really wanted to like this guitar and use it as a travel guitar. There are lots of great sounding demos. Got one and am sending it back. The good news is that it stays in tune. The bad news is that the intonation is terrible. Pressing the G string at the 1st fret results a slightly sharp G#. It gets worse as you get up the neck. So when you play an E chord at the first position, you get three open strings that are in tune and three fretted strings that are a bit sharp. Frustrating. Also, the action is high. I adjusted the truss rod, but the action is still high. Result is a guitar that is tiring to play. Maybe fixing he action at the nut and bridge saddle would correct the intonation, but who wants to pour more money into a cheap guitar?

What is the deal with the picking so far back behind the soundhole? It just kills the tone of any acoustic guitar when played so close the bridge.

Because it's a bit uncomfortably small. I have to bend my back a little to play it comfortably. Or, I have to sit cross-legged so the guitar sits higher on my thigh.

It will need a neck reset before they even ship it to you. The action will be so high that it won't be entonated when you fret it. Beeeeecause, the frets are not level, or the neck is twisted, or the truss rod stripped with the first set up attempt. My ll16d was shipped to me that way. All that China stuff is junk. Those people are pissed and sabotaging the work? Whatever. Save your money
