This is a very nice-sounding instrument. Given the price of guitars with rosewood backs and sides, this is a fair price for what you get. I'd buy one without hesitation.

I'm pretty sure there is NO abalone binding around the headstock as stated in your video description, but who cares! For the price, all of the LL16's are outstanding, and comparable to guitars costing far more. I'm about to buy an LL16D for myself inside of the next few weeks, and I can hardly wait.

@@ДмитрийКрасовский-л8ш Right after I posted this comment, I discovered HSIENMO acoustic guitars, and I was totally blown away by the high end quality vs price. Bought my 1st Hsienmo Custom Shop & loved it SO much, I have since bought 3 more, all different models also from their Custom Shop. Hsienmo builds no more that 400 acoustic guitars per year. This is because they would rather produce the highest quality possible vs mass production. HIGHLY recommended. Tell em Steve from Melbourne Florida sent you.

Put some dr rare strings on the rosewood version and ghs vintage bronze on the mahogany version. Trust me you’ll love them even more. That’s the only thing I don’t like about the ll series is they are so reliant on certain strings to tame it’s over brightness. Why they put 80/20 strings on an already bright sounding acoustic from the factory is beyond me. Heck even most phosphor bronze strings are to bright for it. They need to lessen the bracing because that’s the issue they brace it to much making the top to stiff and in return it’s to bright and harsh with most strings

I own one of these and almost sold it recently because it sounds too brittle. I have since discovered that it sounds better with old strings from my other guitars.
@howabouthetruth215711 ай бұрын
Do yourself a huge favor with your LL16D: Get rid of those slotted plastic pins, and either do the work yourself, or have your local repair shop do the following ( it's very easy, if you are careful ): Use a special tiny saw to saw slots into the pin holes in the bridge ( youtube ch: "Driftwood Guitars" has a good video describing how to do this, watch the video! ) and buy SOLID pins. Solid pins come in a variety of materials, such as wood ( ebony pins are very popular ), bone, etc. You do this, and just watch ( listen ) how much warmer your guitar will sound. That "brittle" tone will be gone. Trust me. The problem, is that the string balls are not coming into contact properly with the bridge plate ( the LL16D has a fantastic bridge plate inside made of real rosewood, that is usually installed only inside hi-end guitars ) that is located inside the guitar directly beneath the bridge. The "brittle tone" is directly because of those cheap plastic slotted pins. I'm about to buy an LL16D for myself within a few weeks, and this is the very first mod I will be doing to it. Guitar makers everywhere use the cheap slotted plastic pins to save costs, and try to arrive at a more attractive selling price. If you're tight on $$, you can still saw the slots as described and turn the slotted pins around backwards. This will help, until you can get the solid wood or bone pins. The sawed-in slots must be done for solid pins and it also improves the downward string angle over the saddle. This along with the solid pins also plants the string ball 100% against the bridge plate underneath, and really warms up the tone & improves the resonance as well !!! With slotted plastic pins, the string ball is only coming into contact with the bridge plate underneath about 50%.......the other 50% of the string ball is actually planted against the tips of those cheap plastic slotted pins, and robs your fine guitar of much of it's warm tone. Try this. I bet the farm you'll be amazed & keep your guitar!!! Watch the videos about doing this. You can really hear the difference in tone as well in those videos. Your 16LLD deserves this mod !!! Later down the road, get a real bone nut and saddle as well. But the solid pins & slotted bridge will do more to help than anything else 100% guaranteed Brother!!! It's NOT your guitar's fault......it's the slotted plastic pins at fault!!!
