Got some questions on how to save your patterns/performances on the Montage so that the sounds you used get recalled properly. Here's a video that shows the process

Not that I can afford a Montage but it's so cool it has a pattern sequencer now. that was my thing with it. just got to save for one. Yamaha is my favorite keyboard company along with Moog. great sounds on this vid too.

Thanks for all your videos. Having spent time with Montage and Fantom, which do you think is best for making entire songs, sequencing, editing, pattern, continuous loop based recording?

Thanks, not sure if it is just me but I have lost patterns I recorded. Renaming them like you show here seems to be a more safe bet to ensure that they are actually saved.

Ah, thanks now I get it. I got a bit frustrated trying to assign a pattern to a performance, but it works the other way around. Edit: Just noticed that the "live sets" give the option to load a performance + pattern combination.

Been a while but pretty sure I imported the drum samples.

Wish it would load the last pattern automatically after a new start. But like the quick way to cycle through them with the INC/DEC buttons below the dial. Is there a way to delete recorded control data from a track? I can delete notes only. My workaround is to make a copy of the track to another scene, record control data and in case of a mistake, I copy back the original.

Not sure about control data, I no longer have this so can't check and didn't spend much time using the sequencer in my workflow.

Not sure what you mean, but the patterns have their own storage, so as long as you don't overwrite them you should be fine.

Quick question thats killing me on the new fantom i got. Of you save a song does it save all the edits to the sounds with it? Or do you have to save all the patches individually for each section of the song like fantom does?

Question: You just recorded that in Scene 1. If you want different chords, etc. in Scene 2, but the same instruments, how is that done? When I go to Scene 2 to start recording, it still has all my Scene 1 recordings there. Thanks.

You'd have to create new pattern/scenes, I think. It has been a while since I had this in so not sure, can't check it anymore.

How do you import the pattern into a song. Also some days the replace works when i'm recording in a song and other days the replace replaces all the tracks and not just the track i'm working on. What can be done about this?

When i select a performance a different pattern shows up.. for instance i have two different midi tracks (autumn leaves, song for my father). I created a performance for each. The pattern doesn’t seem to get recalled when i load the performance... any tips?

Just a thought...You may not have connected the particular Pattern to the particular Performance. (Go to Play/Record - Record the Performance. It will then link that Performance to your Pattern...and will show the "link chain" icon lit up between them)

Not sure fam, I'm not familiar with time machine, but you can try going into Native Access and repairing the installs by pointing them back to the proper place.
