i got a booster plug for my xsr900 (same engine as mt09). the throttle is butter smooth now. no more twiching. what it does basically fools the ecu into thinking the air temp is much colder and so it adds more fuel. these bikes are set to run way too lean from the factory for emission purposes. i have the same exhaust you do (akrapovick carbon full) and a k&n filter and the first thing i did was to buy a dynojet tuner and flash the ecu (400$), but that didn't help at all. the tune they sent me didn't modify the fuel table at all so bike was still running too lean. i learned that after riding for 2k miles and figuring out how to compare the tune from dynojet to the stock tune from yamaha. so i went looking for better options and ran across a forum talking about the booster plug (150$) and maaaan what a difference that made holy damn. bike is so nice to ride now. definitely recommend

Sweet video. Now that you've probably ridden it a bit with the new tune does it feel different? Feel better? (Sometimes that stuff is all in out heads, like how the bike runs better after a nice detailing and oil change.) I heard rumors that it felt smoother though.

Hi mate, have been thinking about getting my Mt 09 dyno tuned because of that aggressive throttle response in A mode. Sounds like you were happy with the outcome, where in Hobart did you get it tuned?. I'm from Launceston.

I was contemplating about a tune on my 2019 with the same exhaust, but I kinda like how raw is the throttle response. It gives character to the bike and I preferred A over STD mode at the track anyway. If you want to giggle even more, get a suspension upgrade. ;) BTW, are those mirrors any good? Any practical advantages over the stock ones?
