Awesome content! I have a 19' MT-09 with the same Akra exhaust and was able to get the db killer/baffle out by drilling the spot weld and then using a bearing puller w/ slide hammer. Besides the weld its held in really tight by friction, those 3 pipes are seated in 3 pipes in the actual exhaust canister.

Damn, I'm very surprised the BMW out shined the GSXR in the low/mid RPM range while also making more power up top. Goes to show how incredible the motor is. With that said the new ZX10R looks to be the near future winner considering the crazy top end it has with a restricted ECU lmao. Maybe the weather advantage helped it out that much? Also that MT09 is going to be a completely different bike with those gains! GREAT video as always Chris.

The 2021 MT09 is a beast completely stock it put down 112hp bone stock. Then just exhaust with no tune and no air filter upgrade it did 117whp. I think these new MT09's are going to be amazing for tuning with the bigger engine they have

Hey guys! Great video! I love my MT09. I have the same Akrapovic exhaust and it was a pain to get the baffle out but it does come out! You just need to use a slide hammer bearing puller after you drill out the spot weld!

I removed mine when it was brand new. Once the weld was drilled out, I tapped it out from behind with an 18” steel bar in 5 minutes. Not very difficult at all. But I’m sure a used one with carbon buildup would a bear to remove.

Hope to have a 2021 MT09SP this year. Would love to have your shop dyno tune it one day. Hopefully the ECU will be unlocked by then? Still learning about this stuff. Might not be as much of a power and smoothness gain since the throttling is supposed to be much improved over the one in this video. Still interested in getting what I can out of it once I get one, ha.

That MT09 is about exactly what I thought I wanted before I rode a 1000. It's a 600's HP with a 750's torque. After riding an R1, I'm pretty sure I want a 750's power with a 1000's torque or an older 1000 that isn't as insane as today's 170-190HP death machines.

Wow that’s pretty low power numbers for a 2021 S1000rr on a stage 2 from brentune usually they make well over 210 on a stage 2 with 93 and 220 on Mr12 I’ll be coming by your shop with my 2014 s1000rr real soon and can’t wait to have you tune it super excited

you can remove the db-killer. drill the weld all the way out and take a water pump plier, hold one of the smaler pipes and tap it with a hammer. i have the same exhaust on my mt09 2020.

I had the same exhaust on the MT09 and could take the baffle out- I ended up cutting the baffle down slightly and adding it back in there as without was way too loud for commuting

Between those 3 liter bikes, my advice for a buyer, would be to buy your favorite. 190 whp is a lot on a motorcycle. Chris, would love so see a Ducati v4r on your dyno!

Have you ever Dyno a 1987 gsx R 1100. What horse power did it make. Mine has a yosh race pipe yosh stage 1 cams and mikuni flat slide carbs and a 750 black box.

That center section will come out... it’s a big bitch but I have taken one out and it sounds awesome. We had to put vice grips on it and twist it out, damaging the center piece but it came out

Hey Chris , i just picked up a 2021 mt-10. I wanted to pick your brain on a Competition Werks exhaust. I know its on the budget end of header back exhausts systems , whats your take on them? I cant really see myself spending the money on something like an SC project. I did that on mine went -1 in the front +2 in the back 1st and 2nd gear is useless haha only cause it comes up like literally nothing. Even power wheelie in 3rd gear like butter haha

S1000RR with same Bren Stage 2 was over 200 rwhp on 650ib dyno vid, it does seem to be on the low side. How many miles on the bike?

It doesn't matter bro. All dynos read different as im sure you know. Comparing all the dyno runs while being overlaid on the same dyno is the best power comparison. No matter what the BMW made it shows its the strongest bike. With that said, I think the new ZX10R will be a problem when they unlock the ECU.

Wow on the BMW S1000rr. They have. Peace under the rear remove the little black cap then put in this little red peace in. It increase. The power and the tork. But you have to buy from BMW. Ask Brook what its called. My stock. 2012 BMW S1000rr made more more with a cat removed. And. Slick plug. The ark muffler gutted. The rear plate in the pipe removed. Brook lower peace. Rear fender defeated. I got hit buy a car it tolled my bike two years a go now I'm heal up I want a nother BMW. I was destroying. Second gen hayabusa. By. Three cars. I dusted him every time we raced raceed.it was not flash yet but I was going to and a longer swingarm. Peace out OK

There's a global speed limit agreement between countries at 186 MPH or 299 KMH. ...and the USA has a HP limit with factories ...which is approx the same as the speed limit threshold..186ish... .I'm surprised Chris doesn't push owners into changing gearing ratios vs these silly Carbon VS, $249 buck filters ..you'll NEVER NEVER feel it seat of pants. What you will FEEL is changing gear ratio in the driveline. . Factory sprockets are set up for emissions,, speed, control, etc...taking into account liability of the rider. This is why they produce motorcycles which are geared HIGH....Chnage your sprockets ..gear the bike LOW or down....and watch how fast you leave your pals with the stock gearing in the dust. It's literally FREE horsepower .You can FEEL acceleration change by simply dropping the front sprocket DOWN 1 tooth. For every 1 tooth dropped on the frt sprox = approx +3 on the rear. So dropping 1 tooth on front and add +4 rear for +7 overall....acceleration will be shocking. Not unless you spend your time above 140mph when you ride...you'll lose top end. Stop wasting $$$$ on silly $249 Sprint filters, Carbon VS..0 weight oil, and other of Brocks snake oil salesman crap. A 520.525, 530 sprocket kit runs the same as a Sprint filter ...thank me later for seat of pants acceleration..
