This video didn't really go as planned, had several technical difficulties with the GoPro's sound or just black screens as playback and the fly by's were a massive fail but my friend Jonathan Hill edited this for me and tried to salvage it as best he could so I figured I would post it anyway! Let me know what you think to this kind of editing!? :)
This is with no baffle/DB Killer.
The videos of me following are from my Dad's MT09 Tracer with the exact same exhaust.
And as always it does sound 10x better in person haha!

Nice job, I always enjoy your videos. Here’s my (2 pennies worth though on 3) observations (oh and I know it maybe all be down to the making of the video etc.)... I do notice (now everyone will jump on the bandwagon now) that a) the sole of your boot looks good, lol and b) you don’t use the rear brake much and c) the important one is you don’t (cover /) have your foot hovering above the Brake pedal tip; as you have your foot out off to the outside of the foot peg 😬. So when you do need to brake you must be moving your foot over in and then down onto the pedal which adds extra time as it’s 2 things to do ☺️. Might be good to break (brake ☺️) that habit. As brake reaction times are much better if you foot is already hovering above the pedal. Lots of folk apply rear break to trail a slight bit of speed of and it can help settle suspension or control big wheelies. Just thought I’d point it out, don’t be throwing anything at me about this 🤣. Btw the exhaust and bike sounds well. Keep up the good work. Good sound track to 👍

I'm literally buying an MT-09 SP with this exact exhaust as soon as i sell my CBR600F (I'm adding a sport screen though, and i'm keeping the DB killer on :-). I was at the Yamaha dealer earlier today and last Friday. Everything except selling my bike is ready. I can't wait!

On a side note, the rizoma tail light upgrade is one of the best OEM looking upgrades for the MT09, not sure if it fits the new design tho.

Been riding a 2018 MT-07 for 2 years. Went to test ride an MT-09 SP on Tuesday, paid a deposit and ordered one yesterday. Gonna have the Akrapovic titanium exhaust, 'billet rearset kit' (I just think the pegs and boot plate thingy look so much tidier than stock ones), R&G tail tidy and Pyramid Plastics screen in SP colours. That ought to be all the bike I'll ever need as a purely recreational road rider.

Just had my new SP delivered today. Tried out the MT10 and the MT09. Decided on the MT09SP as It feels so light and flickable in the corners. The cross plane crank engine is an absolute peach. Got to say your videos had a bit of a say on my decision 👍. I got a great deal from Rick at KD Motorcycles. Brilliant guy to deal with. Can’t thank him enough for his help. Good trade in price and bike delivered up to Scotland from Blackburn. Deal done and new bike delivered within a week. Thoroughly recommend KD Motorcycles to anyone who is looking for an MT09SP.

Hey chaz, I got a question for you. I just passed my first 500 miles on my MT09SP and I found a problem; For example picture this: I ride down the street and stop at a red light let's say in 3rd gear. When I stop and try to downshift into 1st my gear indicator goes blank for some reason and I'm stuck in between 3rd and 2nd. To get into 2nd I have to gently release the clutch. Repeat the process to get into 1st. Is there something wrong with my transmission, did this ever happen to you or am I doing something wrong? And yes I press the gear lever all the way. I noticed that this happens only when i'm standing still and trying to shift gears

Noticed what appears to be a sensor in the exhaust before the muffler. The function I suppose would be to feed data to the fuel injection system. If so, does this negate having to remap the system. In the old days -- when I put a collector on a Honda 750 K1 back in the early 70s, you had to check the carbs, plugs etc to see if rejetting was needed. I real pain.

I guess you'll find out later if it is important. Great sound though. The triples always sounded that way -- at least the old Triumph triple from the 70s. My Honda four (K1) sounded a lot like a Jaguar 120 with the DOHC inline six. The same booming sound. I loved running it through the gears. I guess I am just an old frustrated biker at heart. Enjoy yourself when you are young just like you are now.

That sounds sweet, sounds like an F1 car. I use to paint the lettering on my tires too, it looked sweet for the first few days seeing the Dunlop blazing in white paint. Gets dirty quick, but nothing another going over doesn't take care of. I remember using white paint markers, what do you use? Yours seem brighter. Or you just redid them lol
