I LOVE my Yamaha MX 88! (I have the Blue 61 for gigging out) I debated with my great musical son that this board has the BEST grand piano sound out there anywhere! The only problem I have is here recently, my middle C key is starting to play the B key next to it. I will have to get that fixed right away. And I think you mention this, I wish I could save a few favorite sounds for fast access. But other than that, I love it!!! I tell folk everywhere, to have an 88 weighted key keyboard for the church that's easy for gramma to sit down and find a piano sound and not pay a high price, this is the board! -Great video! I own an MX61BK. I am controlling it from Cubase Artist 13 and it is very easy to use. The tone is good and you can apply a beautiful phaser with the VCM effect. It's cheap, but it's a good enough product.

I absolutely agree with you about the acoustic/electric pianos being better than the JUNO-DS88. I have both. I bought them at the same time with the intention of sending one back. I ended up keeping both for different reasons. Piano was the #1 reason I kept the MX88.

I picked up a mx49 well over a year ago and for the money it is a great sound source that I mostly control externally. It blends nicely with the Roland Juno DS as well.😁🎶🎹🎶Play On

I have the mx 61. I also got the vycro mx software just recently from a KZbin video. I managed to layer 5 sounds with volume and 1 sound, which works off the velocity of the person hitting the key. I have had the mx61 for about 3 weeks now, and it's great

That's pretty cool! I do wish Yamaha had made it a little easier to program this series from the front panel - the software unlocks a lot of stuff you can't otherwise have.

Just bought a Yamaha MX88. Can't figure out how to save preset effects that are easy to access when in a live performance. Does this have to be done as a performance selection?

Is The "slow keys" problem appear in other yamaha piano such as ck88 or modx88? Because i recently sold my mx88 because that problem... Mx88 keys SUCK...

It's really hard to say. I feel like the CK88 is a little better but it's been months since I played one.

I have the MX 88 and I noticed keys start loosening up and falling off. This is the worst keyboard I have ever owned I’ve been playing piano for 59 years and this is the worst you can do better Yamaha😮

Unfortunately this trend is not just Yamaha. At a big box music store near me, they've got a Korg Kronos that hasn't been on the shelf that long, and it already has a key stuck down. Talking to my friends in sales, they tell me it's a sign of the times and pretty common on even the high end stuff. The Casio I owned previously had an entire octave go bad. It's why I got the MX88. But I 100% agree that Yamaha can and should do better.
