@@GerboMusic the only thing that keeps me from getting the Montage, to replace my MOTIF, as the main keyboard in my rig, is the sequencer. The Motif's sequencer is so fantastic and fits my needs perfectly, it has features that none of the other sequencers on various keyboards seem to have. Now, they have just upgraded the one on the Montage, but from reading about it, it doesn't appear to have the overall capacity and flexibility as that of the Motif....too bad you can't "special order" keyboards from these companies: like with cars, so , you could order a Montage with the Motif sequencer in it! LOL....

@@GerboMusic I just read two excellent articles by "Bad Mister" on the Yamaha Synth site regarding the new pattern sequencer in OS 3.0, however, what I can't seem to find is how to assign midi control to an external instrument. I do not use DAW, my Motif is my "DAW" and it controls the other keyboards and voice modules in my rig.

Are you improvising between 6:57 and 8:21 or are these fragments of some known pieces? It sounds Baroque-style to me, it would be interesting to listen to these pieces fully, if they exist.

Hey man, what speakers are u using? is it KRK? and is your room acoustically treated? would Hs8 studio monitors also sound like this?, and one more question, does the montage have sustain feature in itself? since I do not own a sustain pedal, I have option to turn on/off sustain? to generate same effect? thanks in advance bro and cheers on the playing!

Yes it is KRK rokit 8 ,the sounds have a nice sustained sound with ambiance (reverb) and I use sustain pedal for smooth chord transitions . The best way is to get yourself a sustain pedal because they don't cost to much anymore

The sounds are also sustained and with ambiance but I use the sustain for smooth transitions in the chords
