They are street bikes but everything about these bikes is derived from WSBK. So aren't they just track bikes that have been made street legal? If you've ride a supersport at the track you will know right away that riding them on the street is not what they are made for.

orangeorphan well I meant riding like you stole it. I like track better than street but this guy deserves credit. Too often you see a guy who bought a new liter bike and dumps it showing off because he thinks the rider aids will save him.

orangeorphan No, they aren't just street legal track bikes. They are road bikes with massive track capabilities that have racing derived technology. That's what make these bikes special, how well they can do everything. A lot of people commute on something like an S1000RR, it has cruise control and heated grips like a touring bike. And on the track these things slaughter anything that is more than 5 years old. The M version of the M1 is no more track orientated than the regular version, it just has a bigger electronics package, like the suspension. It's something BMW has done with the HP4, with great success.

He looks like he's riding at about 70% of his max capacity, looks relaxed. Also note how he's going thru the corner at the same speed as the other riders who are dragging their knees, yet he isn't dragging. The other dudes are hanging off a lot and deliberately making an effort to drag. This dude is just chillaxing with one butt off the seat. All in all a good rider riding at a good street pace.

The display is trick as you like, but only time I look at the dash is when I see a speed camera. I certainly wouldn't be having a look at my front brake pressure just before a corner.

R1M. At 21k it's a bargain compared to the Ducati. Only 500 made. Superleggerra is 65k. As a hard core Ducati owner this is #1 on my list as a superbike I would buy.
