That’s a tall and young person’s bike-twenty minutes in that riding position and I’d be crippled for life.

This bike (R1M) has extremely tall seat (860 mm)........even taller than Panigale V4 (840 or 845 mm). And I just 164 cm (approx 5'3" or 5'4") Edit: Actually my height is 166-167 cm. I'm not sure about my own height because I rarely measure my body height.

Oh yes seeing the model that most represents me always being the first one up there just cements the fact that I can't ride the majority of awesome bikes because I'm too short lol

I'm 177cm and I got almost my entire foot on the floor without any weight on, I weigh 84kg making me have perfect floor reach and clearance. So even if your short you can Allways lower the bike even though you shouldn't..

First of all, these videos are incredibly helpful and the community is so appreciative of your efforts in creating these. Thank you so much! I have a question about your measurement calculations as I’m curious about these numbers. I’m 6’4” (193cm) with a 33” inseam. Some of your earlier videos illustrate the 6’4” rider having a 35” inseam but the more recent ones say 37” inseam. Would you mind explaining how those numbers came about or why the change from 35” to 37”? I know these illustrations are just rough estimates but a 4” difference for me is a major deciding factor to consider as I look at these for my size. As always, I appreciate all you do. 🙂

First up thanks Dark Knight for your respectfully written comment and not automatically assuming I've made a mistake. 😉 As I've been making these videos I'm constantly watching feedback and fine tuning my process. I listen to what you guys have to say. I originally started off making my videos using the term 'inseam' which technically comes from garment manufacture and means measuring from ankle to groin. But I was measuring from ground to groin which is more correctly termed 'inside leg'. If you look at the earlier videos you'll see I switched from inseam to inside leg and when I did that I took another look at my averaged measurements and made some tweaks to better reflect the feedback I was getting. I have a video in mind that I've been meaning to make on body proportions. The process of researching and making these videos has taught me a lot about the amazing degree off variance people have between torso and leg length. It's quite eye opening. I also thought about dropping height altogether and just focusing on inside leg measurements. But I feel height is still a good ballpark indicator and it's a more instantly relatable measurement for viewers. Hope that satisfies your question! 👍

@@BikesILike ohhh, I didn’t notice the change from inseam to inside leg. Thank you so much for that clarification. I honestly didn’t look that closely after watching about 20 of these videos in a row. 😅 I appreciate your reply very much and, yes, I see exactly what you mean and it makes perfect sense. Thank you for the clarification. It definitely helps.

I’m 58 so this bike looks a little too line ball in terms of being able to get both feet or balls of both feet on the ground.? That surprises me that Yamaha would build a bike that way.

Hello i just had a doubt in some of your do i fit series videos u show inseam of 5'6" as 29" amd in some 30"... so which one is correct?? Is it 29" or 30"?
@BikesILike
@BikesILike 2 жыл бұрын
In earlier videos I used inseam (ankle to groin) and later I switched to Inside leg (ground to groin). Based on feedback from viewers I also tweaked the measurements along the way.

Is the seat height including rider weight? How far down does the bike go with a 180 lbs person on it?
@BikesILike

No I just use the manufacturers promotional imagery. The bike will settle a little with rider weight applied.
