Loving these R6 videos. I have a '01 myself and there is so much bad and conflicting info on various forums out there, as well as a lack of videos of '99-'02s due to it's age. Your carb overhaul series saved me a ton of money instead of having it done at a shop, even though it didn't solve my issue directly. Can't thank you enough for doing these.

Same, I'm about to start making videos too for these gen 1 r6's since there are no new videos on them except this guy. Doing new rotors, pads, and steel braided lines today. These videos are great tho, love this channel 👍

I hear you, I love mine too and from what I hear Yamaha stopped making the R6 so I think they are worth keeping. I have some more videos that I need to make for the R6 so let me know if there's any repairs you would like to see. Thanks for watching!

a little late but do you know if the front axle on a 2020 r6 is the same size? I'm having trouble finding info on it, maybe im just not looking properly. Someone said something about 32mm but I'm not sure if that's right - sounds a bit big.

I think it takes a 19mm Allen on one side and a 32mm socket on the other side. You don't need a 19mm Allen to remove the front wheel on the newer R6 models, the pinch bolt is on the side with the 19mm Allen, if you leave the pinch bolt tight and loosen the 32mm nut first, then loosen the pinch bolt and the axle will slide right out. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
