Excellent. Why Yamaha had this in a secret menu is beyond us.

@@theaterdesignco i think i can guess… the secret menu is like that bcoz if something went wrong like display went off bcoz of non supported resolution or some configuration which is causing system to be unstable. That’s when you can use this secret menu to reset the system. Also this particular case, looks like they don’t want customers to confuse with so menu advance options and then customer suffers if something goes wrong… Advanced menu is for advanced user!

I own samsung frame (2020) and a yanaha rx-v583 receiver which supports 4k hdr pass through and i can't figure out how to enable the 4kpass through cause the avr shows video out 1080p but i've enabled the 4k upscaling in the receiver please help

I had a problem with my yamaha and can't find any video that helps me. It's a model RX-V385 and yesterday i had to connect my laptop on the hdmi and now it doesn't work on my ps4. I tried factory resetting it and it just got worse help pls

Thanks for the video tutorial I would never know there was an advanced menu. Can I get some help? My receiver is connected to the TV via HDMI 4k cable, TV displays 4K when 4k content is play , but in my receiver displays 1080, is there a reason why thanks

Thanks for the video, but after getting into the hidden menu it looks like my Yamaha rx-v377 doesn't have those features. Just got a new TCL 55" S535 which uses the ARC option. Just broke out the old optical audio cable I haven't used in 20 years. Unreal.

You happen to get your TCL connected to your Yamaha via eARC to work with Bluetooth... as in BT headphones? I've got everything working except having the TCL audio signal going out thru BT and to headphones.

If your receiver has MusicCast you can use the Bluetooth transmit function. You have to us the MusicCast app for that function.

Any idea why my RX-V6A connected to my TV ARC/eARC to ARC/eARC using fiber HDMI has severe audio dropout no matter what cable I use. I have used a copper high-speed 18Gbps Binary cable and a fiber RuiPro cable both horrible audio drop outs. I swapped to my old RX-A730 and same thing. I think I may be a yamaha issue. Any ideas?

What TVs is it. Check tv setting and look for pcm audio

I changed out my hdmi to 4k-8k and tried out 4k mode 1 and 2 but still no 4k pass through. The only time I can get 4k is if I plug the device directly into the tv. Is there anything else I can try? I’m about to throw this Yamaha receiver in the dumpster. Thanks in advance

Have you checked the hdmi cable from your source to the Yamaha. Appears your cable to the tv is capable

I just need the Yamaha RX-A780 to use eARC for audio from my TV. Thats literally it, and it just won't do it, and I cannot find a way to enable arc for audio from my television or receiver menus

Hdmi Control needs to be on in the Yamaha, other settings are at the TV menu!

Check the Network Setting status and HDMI Stand By, I can't remember which one of the two, but one will definitely bring the LED back on stand by.

Yamaha rxv385 , internal error board different from others , don't know where to solder for jumper, will not ship to Yamaha for fix , expensive to do. And will not buy another Yamaha after this .
