Also, Running Aftermarket Pod's will Significantly reduce Intake Velocity and You will end up losing Power. A way around this is to take the Boot's from the Factory Airbox and Install the Pod's onto them. You may have to modify the Pod's a bit but its totally worth it..

Loved my '84 XJ750, bought new in '86 and put 35,000 mi. on it. My only complaint was it was one gear short. It really needed a higher top gear on the highway. A week point was the lowest point of the exhaust pipes were prone to gathering condensation inside in cooler parts of the country and would corrode from the inside out.

The relay at 1:56 is actually the headlight/aux light relay. I just picked an 81 Seca up, no headlight, traced it to this relay being bad.

I have an 82 750 Maxim that I turned into a Cafe Racer. And with a little work these are legitimately quick little Bike's. I'm consistently Running Neck and Neck with a 14 CB-650R..

I just got one and it only starts with a tow start. I dont know much about bikes so been having some issues trying to get it consistently starting so I can learn.

If it's just not turning over My guess would be the Starter. I got one from eBay for like 50 Bucks a few Years back.

Oh, and the best Oil I've found by far for this Engine is Rotella T4 10W-30. There's no Friction Modifier's so it's Safe for the wet Clutch.

PRI petcock setting is to bypass the vacuum. Fuel will flow always whereas the on/res setting need the bike to run (produce a vacuum) to allow for fuel to flow.

If You check your Oil with the Window it needs to be on the tripod stand. And it should look like there's an air bubble at the very top of the Window.
