I use a 6.5”.14” Stage Custom Steel Snare Drum. I might get another Yamaha snare drum to add to my collection. It sounds very good. I also use Yamaha drum hardware. I hope to add some more Yamaha drum hardware to my drum set.

This was so good, all the pitches were very close, & it made me realize I prefer maple for wood and brass for metal If I were to choose one, I’d get the Hybrid Maple

I have got SSS1465 and SBS1455, they both Stage Custom, the best value for money on the market and they sound great

The depth of the shell and the stiffness of the rims are by far the most important variables. You could argue which of those two is more significant but the rest is trivial in comparison imo. Cast rims are typically stiffer than triple flanged hoops (TFH) but even TFH are available in 3mm thickness at reasonable prices. Try that before you cork sniff with bubinga.
