Big fan of the Anderson's channel videos but I'm not happy about the fact that when the katana air came out Lee just immediately dismissed it because it doesn't have a looper despite the rep making the very valid point of..."how would you active it though?" But ye have immediately adopted the Yamaha no questions asked and done an in depth review of it. I recall a similar scenario when the katana 100 came out and Lee didn't seem to care too much about that either until it sold loads and then he was singing it's praises. I think sometimes on the channel certain brands aren't taken as seriously as others because there's snobbery about them. I still think the content on the channel is fantastic but I just felt that, that was worth mentioning.

I see Yamaha has ''responded'' to Vox (and others like Boss) with these new models, by adding bluetooth, more watts and mobile editor, but IMO for a ''3rd amp'' they still didn't beat the Vox Adio Air GT - mostly because of the price. The base model of THR10II has 30w less than the Vox, runs few hours less on batteries and has less amps and effects when using the mobile editor and most importantly - only based on this video of course - does not beat Adio Air in terms of sound, yet it costs 70 quids more. Does not compute. And it's a bit heavier in weight. Looks of the units are subjective but I'm happily staying with my Vox (sold my THR10 after getting the Adio Air GT) because it's a far better value. I love Yamaha (Pacifica 311h is the best value electric guitar on the planet, it's a 1000$ quality/parts instrument being sold for 300$, crazy) but they are being greedy ridding on the coattails of the THR10's (slightly overhyped) mass popularity. I hope the Adio Air GT can keep up because it really is THAT good and deserves all the praise.

I have owned many other practice amps including some recent ones such as the Boss Katana Air, yet the thr’s sound quality dwarfs them by a long mile. The only thing that’s better is the Katakana 50 but it’s ten times bigger. At this size, nothing competes. Perhaps the vox adio is comparable, but it’s so ugly my eyes bleed.

Karim Pardayev I’d definitely go with the Yamaha. Actually I’ve already bought two, one with and one without wireless. If you have the budget I’d recommend the wireless version simply because of its built in rechargeable battery. The 30watt version is not yet available, but I feel it may be an overkill for this kind of amps...perhaps useful for basking but I think regardless the sound it just looks way too small for the streets. The Yamaha app is beautifully developed too. Simple and very functional, unlike the Katakana Air app which must have been developed by amateurs.
