Turn up the volly and sit back as we go onboard the Minnovation TZ 750 at Cadwell park, It was my first time on a TZ 750 so I was taking it easy. Hopefully, you can see how it was wheelieing all over the place! what a machine and hats off to those guys who used to race them back in the day

Great on you lad. Still miss my 1978 RD400. My first bike Lol. Not a race rocket like the TZ, however it had some balls. Especially when piped and jetted. Keep the rubber side down brothers and keep those revs above 7K on a 2-stroke. 🙂 Cheers and thanks. Damn I'm old. It's good to see that the old girls got some balls.

Deep joy and happy memories 🙂🏁 Back in the 80’s I had a Rickman CR1000 and a GT750 kettle…….. the kettle was ported heavily, jetted, geared…… with an Applebee crank and Allspeeds 😊. Not a patch on a TZ but lively and tuneful……. A chap called Nick Foot(?) had a similarly altered GT kettle and we used to make music along the Epping New Road to the splendid High Beech - Epping……. The point to this nostalgic ramble, we used to ride with a chap called Rob Green(?) on a barely Road legalised TZ750, needless to say we couldn’t catch him……… and another chap with a Moto Martin Venom, which I recall had stickers on the fairing saying it achieved 163mph at MIRA 🙂🇬🇧 By far the most trick at that time was a mates Sanders & Lewis GT750, with Dymags and a three into one…….. sounded a lot quicker than it actually was, stock engine and three into one wasn’t optimum………. Great to see and hear the TZ 🏁

I'm sorry but, even though I love any 2-stroke sound the @$$ Cam is really not the view I want to see on a TZ750 ride. The bike is definitely tuned well from the sound of it. Current owner of a '76 RD400 that I will never sell under my will of course, lol.

@@lussoveloce Thanks. I managed to find a front view lap of the IOM TT circuit. Sounds very 70’s/80’s racing 2-stroke but cool. I always hankered for the TZ750 back in the early 80’s but funds only afforded me a TZ350; fond memories of the brilliant Japanese design and quality engineering, winning pedigree indeed. By modern standards the TZ 750 isn't fast at all. Lots of power for the day and very light weight, but had a flexy frame, crap suspension, brakes and tires. This combination was what made the TZ so legendary and scary. I remember seeing footage of Roberts on one and the entire bike was wallowing and wiggling coming out of the corner.

Thats an Explosively Scary Fast 3cyl. 2stroke TZ-750 on a Slow, tight, technical Track on such an undercast , damp, gloomie day on cold tyres . And the fact that it is now collectible , imaculate and probably very expensive now . Thats why you see him getting pass by smaller, slower bikes at tat point 🚴

That's way more than enough of the arse-camera mate! Completely obscures the view ahead and the gauges (which is the whole point of an on-board camera) and obliterates the sense of speed and position on the road. Arse cameras should only be used by proctologists.

@@russellemms6970I stand corrected - it would be better to say that it's one of the best suited to bikes overall, and it's the most fun of any for smaller ones. @lussoveloce
@lussoveloce 3 жыл бұрын
it's simply due to the lack of space for all of the expansion chambers and the need for ground clearance. The only place left is under the seat!

left side of the bike & the swing arm, has the drive-chain, so there's less room to have both the pipes alike the right hand pair on the left...

I remember seeing photos of some early TZs with the lower tuned pipe chambers were shaped with flat sections to allow more cornering clearance during full clip.
