When you buy something on the store, you ALWAYS have your entries on the backend when we pull the sweepstakes entries. We’re just having problems with them showing up on the front end for people’s accounts. First off, elephant in the room, wtf is on Yams upper lip. Second, as a 2022 MT09 owner, coked out is a great way to describe the CP3. Suspension on the MT comes so soft from the factory, literally zero preload on the front forks. Once you dial in the suspension it holds a line great! 82 hp isn't too much for most people to handle, unless most people have extremely poor impulse control or something like Parkinson's, causing them to violently twist their right wrist at inopportune times. My bike has 86 hp and no rider modes, and I've never found it to get away from me or be too much to handle or anything like that. I tried the 1290 Super Duke R a while back, that was very difficult to handle smoothly, but that has 175 hp.

@@rolsson4365 You have to also take into consideration that the original Z900 had poor suspension, poor brakes, was heavy ,and had a poor frame. Of course 82hp would feel sketchy.... Meanwhile, 120hp feels reasonable on any mid 2000s 600cc bike on account of their excellent frame, suspension set-up and proper brakes. Zip ahead another 10-15 years to today, and that same original 82hp feels underwhelming on current day sport bikes with not only great frames, suspension, brakes, but ALSO modern electronic aids (ABS, six axis TC, wheelie control). It's not just the HP you have to take into account, but all the other improvements that makes something from 20-40 years ago that was fast feel relatively under powered today.

I kind of wonder how it compares to the an r nine t or the current 900 monster? Obviously, both of those are twins, along with the speed twin, so I'd expect more low range torque. Maybe the Z900rs is just alone in being a four cylinder, standard with retro design. Sure, there are still plenty of four cylinder bikes and cafe inspired bikes, but the Z900rs is the only currently produced center of that venn diagram, that I can think of...🤔 The Honda cb650r is probably the closest, but with less horsepower and torque (I'd nearly forget about it.)

The Z 900 is for the nostalgic of the 70's and 80's. You just need to install for 4 to 4 exhaust and you'll feel 40 years younger. No need to buy a Harley anymore when you're over 60. The Yam is cool particularly the new 2022 model in blue, I like it but I'll never drive it the way it deserves.

I’ve had my Zrs for about 3 years now and this has always been what I thought was it’s closest competitor. I have always thought that the xsr is a little faster, a little cheaper but the Zrs is a little better looking

I have a 2021 Z900RS Cafe and installed the Dale Walker Holeshot tune on it including headers, exhaust, air box mods, and AFR tuner and it woke it up! Way more torque and power. Probably still not the characteristics of the XSR but huge improvement in performance.

Watched this entire video and seems to me that reviewers are really missing the point here. If the objective is the have the fastest bike, then what are we doing here. If 0-100 is the concern, get a Hayabusa or Z H2 or something. The reason we are looking at these two bikes is to understand riding position, comfort, can we comfortably put our girl on the back for hour or perhaps two. Can we get it ripped into a corner and out without losing our lives. How comfortable is it to ride on the highway. Every single video i am watching is about how super fast XSR might be. After being 14yo, that is pretty much the last thing in my world of importance. The point is to compare how the motorcycles feel when you drive them, how they shift, how loud are they, can you see well with the mirrors, does the headlight shine enough. Are there any fancy bits we should be aware of like XSR's nighttime light up tricks. This review was fully useless to me.

Great comparison, about a month after I bought my FZ09 lol! I was actually looking at the z900rs cause I wanted a 4 cylinder bike that wasn't uncomfortable (I have a grom and an fz07) and I saw the fz09 pop up for cheap so I jumped on it and "settled" on a 3 cylinder hooligan bike, and I have zero regrets!

Mundane is not what I would call riding the Z900RS. Yes, its not an ultra aggressive bike like the MT09, XSR, Monster 1200, etc, and that's because that's not the purpose Kawasaki had in mind for this bike. They did that with the regular Z900 (125hp and more aggressive riding position). The RS model is more of a daily bike that is still a ton of fun to ride.

As an owner of a 2019 XSR, I haven't a clue what Whitney is sharing regarding the frame and cornering. "It's horrible yet that's what makes it fun...?" The bike I ride corners beautifully and handles far above many bikes in it's class. It's a rare one-of-a-kind, engineering sweet spot at a price that if under a different manufacturer, would be 20-30% more and spend most of it's days in the shop to maintain. Between rider modes, traction control and a healthy respect for the throttle, the XSR can easily be authority under control..., however, this bike does not suffer fools and desires appropriate respect when riding no matter how experienced you may or may not be.
