Yamaha XT660Z with Healtech Quickshifter easy

Test ride for fine tuning of the Healtech Quickshifter. The installation was very easy, just follow the manual.
Yamaha XT660Z 2010 with (dual) Scorpion carbon exhaust, Powercommander V, DNA side airfilter and removed airbox and snorkel. For questions, ask in comment section.

Ahh well did some research etc and saw I indeed have to place the sensor under the shifter find where the ignition coil is and put in wires was it difficult to do?

The instructions they deliver with it are kinda shit because they show for other bikes but not for XT

@@brendanyes1515 You can do the whole installation without removing the tank. Just find the two connections of the ignotition coil and connect the quickshifter wires to it. I don’t exactly know which wire to go where because it’s 5 years back. But it wasn’t difficult. Otherwise you can always bring it to a motorbike garage, they know how to do that in 30min. PS: Let the wires go through under your saddle through that whole that goes to your engine.

What are your "Kill times" in mSec

Domen Smerdelj my kill time is on default 95ms. Because it's a single cilinder its better to have a slight higer kill time. It's also the recommended one by Healtech.

What bike do you have? 110ms is pretty high.

xt660z with quick shifter via PCV 5 installed. I tried 95ms and it is a little bit to fast when upshifting from 1 to 2 gear. I'll go with 100ms. My quickshifter is killing fuel when engaged. Yours, I believe, is killing sparkplug which is much more effective.

Domen Smerdelj You should not shift from first to second gear with the quickshifter in any case because the rpm gap is too much. It's a big hit for your transmission. Even if you make the killtime higher you will still not experience smoothness. In the manual they also say to use the clutch for first to second and after that you can use the quickshifter. 95ms would be fine and only quickshift from 2nd and up.
