Nice video, it would have been nice if you would have shown compressing spring etc. Thanks!

There’s a few different tools on the market. We made something similar with a few scrap pieces of steel and a shop press. Just need enough pressure on the spring to get the nut and spring cap off.

great vid, start to finish, short and sweet thanks a lot. Just what I needed to install my 24 gram weller weights and swap grease out for tinkseal.

That’s what we were shooting for. If it helps someone out along the way, it was worth doing. Definitely check out the Weller sheave as well if you’re servicing the cvt. It’s a great time to upgrade.

Is there a noticeable difference? Worth it?
@shanekemmer5055 Жыл бұрын
@@imbatman9176 definitely worth it for the drop in rpms, you do lose some bottom end and top speed, but atleast I can hear the radio now. Ill be switching to 32" tires soon so ill go back to stock weights and order the racing sheave.

Looks like I'll be having my dealer do the clutch service. Polaris clutching sucks but at least easy to work on. The clutches themselves don't look complicated but tearing half the machine apart looks to be a pain.

Time consuming for sure, but not difficult to do. Took about 4 hours from start to finish with doing the secondary clutch service.

Did you ever install the spring? I have a kit that just arrived for the new 2024 x2 1000 for the “all around improved” kit. My machine has oem 20g weights and now I have the option to go 22g or 23g with the new machined primary. I don’t think I’m going to run the shim as that will cancel out lowering the rpm’s. I’m on the fence about the red spring they sent. My machine came with 28 bighorns and I’m now running 30” UT1 Hercules tires. I know you’re very knowledgeable about these machines, so I’m just wondering what your thoughts are. Thanks!

Hello Randy, quick question. Are the 27 mm bolts right hand thread? I want to make sure I have my impact set to the correct direction for loosening. Thanks.

I'm more interested in watching the parts of this video that ended up on the cutting room floor. aka Dirty Little Secrets.

Not a whole awful lot was left out. I’ll do a spring compression video on our next clutch service

What are the benefits to running a greaseless set up or one with grease?
@YammerHammers11 ай бұрын
We personally run grease setups as we had weight hang up issues due to some fine dust build up in the primary sheaves

Tank seal grease is a brand name?
@ve3xtr Жыл бұрын
It's Tinkseal. Not Tank Seal. Available on ebay.

Did you do the tune? Did it calm down cab noise? Everyone says it drops the rpm’s going to 22
@YammerHammers2 жыл бұрын
We’ve had a tune on this machine for about a year and a half. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re going with a weight change. It does drop the cruising rpm down a few hundred which does yield a little less noise.

22gram HV weights lower your engine 400 rpm during the shifting phase. 24g weights lower you by 800 rpm. It is only a reduction at first shift, it does not effect your take off or top speed.
