I need to correct some miss information I’ve been giving! I had confused the dry lube used in a greaseless set up as a form on tinkseal and it is NOT! Tinkseal is applied just like Yamaha’s ultramatic grease and protects just like the grease but with better lubrication properties and longevity. I have used that in the past with no negative results and again was thinking the dry lube was a form of tink seal as well. It’s the Dry lube that has cause belt slippage in the past for me and not the Tinkseal. I apologize for giving the miss information!

Jason: @ 13:00 you're completely confusing Tinkseal with greaseless. The two are NOT the same. You're confusing a greaseless primary with a dry lube coating with one serviced with Tinkseal, which is filled just like a primary filled with Ultramatic grease. HORDES of guys using Tinkseal in their primary on Wolverine Forums testify its superiority to Ultramatic grease. YOU DO NOT BLOW OUT A PRIMARY filled with Tinkseal!

You’re 100% right! I am getting the two confused! I was thinking the dry lube was also a form of Tinkseal cause I never saw anything that said otherwise but stand corrected. That’s good to know and I apologize for giving miss information! I pinned a comment to correct my miss information 😊

Just curious on your comparison to the pioneer? Looking to get my first sxs. I like the short wheel base of both brands, but I am torn between the 2. Thanks, love the vids
@AppalachianMountainRiders Жыл бұрын
The Pioneer is a great multipurpose machine if you need a dump bed. It’s built tough and the gear on gear transmission is fun to bang through in manual mode. Plus it’s been around long enough now there is a lot of aftermarket support to build it how you want it! However the Yamaha is just better in every area from comfort to power, fit and finish, ect. If your main use is trail riding and hauling people then the Rmax is the way to go! We though going from our Pioneer 1000-5 to the 850 Wolverine X4 was a big improvement in machine and stepping up to the Rmax is even more so. Again I loved the Pioneer but don’t regret going to the wolverines one bit!
@aaronford7508 Жыл бұрын
@@AppalachianMountainRiders thank you for the response, I guess noise is a big factor as well. I’ve heard the wolverines are a noticeably louder machine
@AppalachianMountainRiders Жыл бұрын
Correct. The Rmax is considerably louder than the pioneer but the 850 Wolverine is about the same. Cab heat is a lot worse with the Pioneer however so that’s something to consider as well. One of the main reasons we traded for the yamaha was the roll cage between the front seat and the rear got hot enough to hurt our kids hands in the back if they grabbed them.

I went through a really deep water hole and my wolverine stalled but started again after a few tries. Since then I have not been able to go over 25-30 mph and it starts chugging and revving high. Any suggestions. I have checked the belt casing and it was dry and belt looks good. No water in air box either.
