I put down 11 years in the Army through 6 enlisted ranks myself, wanted to be a lifer and stay 25-30+ years or until they've had enough of me. health and fate had other plans though and I wore my boots for the last time this past May. I feel very naive because I literally drank every ounce of coolaid Yammie was pouring during that video. The dude is a narcissist (as most higher profile channel runners tend to be) but it took me watching a review like this to see it for what it really was... just wow. good stuff. What kills me is that I've watched Yammie grow as a person as well (people want to keep bashing the kid who threw himself over a porsche, I don't believe in holding grudges to people who put in clear evidence of improving from situations like that). But human beings are known to human.. and anyone who gets big enough will always be susceptible to grow in ego. That is part of the tragedy, and now he's in a damned if do/don't situation, with any public reparations for spite looking like damage mitigation and leaving things as they lay looking like a cutthroat employer as you've described.

@@MotoMedicine904 If you hate dealing with numbers all day, so you start a business to get away from that, and find yourself dealing with numbers all day anyway, it makes perfect sense to restructure in order to hire an accountant (LLCs don't have CFOs either); conversely, it makes no sense to suffer through precisely what you were trying to get away from just to support someone else's dream job. Honestly, I think it panned out quite well for Spite in the end. His channel got over 50,000 new subscribers the day the video hit & another 14,000 the day after. Now that everything has settled down, he's got a good number of Patreon supporters, of which I am one, and his subscriber numbers are growing healthily enough that he should hit 100,000 by Christmas. He's also got support from a local motorcycle dealer for access to motorcycles for review & is picking up sponsors that are relevant to motorcycling. Yammie, on the other hand, didn't fair as well. Besides getting rid of Spite, Josh has also disappeared from the team list on the website, and the quality of the video output has taken an appreciable dive. He lost 10,000 subscribers on the day the video was released & flatlined for most of October. He only picked up another 10,000 subscribers on the 24th October. In fact, if you look at his subscriber growth in the detailed statistics tab on socialblade the channel subscriber growth looks very "interesting" for all of this year. If you look at the weekly subscribers gained graph from November 2019 to December 2021 the growth looks very organic. But, looking at 2022, it's a complete flatline broken by 13 spikes of exactly 10,000 new subscribers every few weeks. 🤔Make of that what you will, but there's another interesting "feature" in the weekly video views gained chart. For the week 30 March to April 6 2020 the channel reported -420,874 video views, that's negative 420,784 views. How does a view count go into negative? Did over 420,000 people have their memory of watching a Yammie Noob video erased & reported their memory erasure to KZbin? 🤔 To paraphrase the Bard, something is rotten in the state of Yammie Noob.

I'm a Reagan era Marine Vet. It's nice to hear someone talking about honor and morals. I found the way Eric let Spite go, and the reasoning he gave, to be completely offensive. You have to take care of your people. Eric complaining about his role as the CEO of the company taking away from his true passion of being a content creator being offered as the justification for firing Spite seemed a little strange. The only way to remedy that would be to have someone else run the company for him. I don't know this to be a fact, but Eric strikes me as being kind of a control freak, so giving someone else the reigns to his multi-million dollar company so he can spend more time in front of the camera is unlikely. Growing his company will probably include growing the staff, so I'm not sure what the real motivation was for firing Spite. It may have just been ego. But, Spite is rolling. Things take time. I would expect that it won't be long before he branches out and starts reviewing more than just ADV bikes. One thing I'd really like to see is Whitney making an appearance on Spite's channel. I remember the first time Whitney stepped in front of the camera... people loved it. She's funny, she has valid opinions, and the rapport that she and Spite had during those two person reviews was excellent. But I'm on Team Spite. The annoying outtro's featuring Eric's not-so-subtle demands to watch more Yammie Noob wasn't hard to walk away from.

I remain subscribed to both but I am not interested in Moto GP so I don't even click on those videos, and Yam has 3 there with his lowest views in the last two weeks.
