Don't hold your breath. I highly doubt they'll give it a new chassis. The way I see it knowing from how japanese manufacturers work. @@Fearless154 yep sounds pretty dead straight on the money. I can see them potentially going a bit higher with the hp number if they do some mechanical work on the engine (wider bore maybe?) but it's very unlikely. Probably just a tune and different exhaust setup, but in same chassis and with upgraded suspension and brakes (it really needs it if it's gonna come in an "R" configuration). I hope they at least nail the visuals. The base 7 series engine is already a fine platform for a more casual approach to what Aprilia is doing, especially if they are gonna offer it for a few grand less.

also the performance benefit of the zx6r is only gonna be at the very top end, so realistically the difference isn't noticable enough to be a selling point on its own (and the RS660 beats it performance wise in midrange and out-of-corner speeds). If you want to make an unbiased decision, just consider whether you want to use it mostly for track riding or street riding. They are pretty much equal in their respective fields, slightly overlapping in the opponent's main categories. I'd definitely go with the RS660, it's a modern platform with a completely new structure and approach to performance riding, and it won't be a sore to ride extensively on street

@ReLCorsa3 жыл бұрын
They're similar but the R6 has more horsepower while the Aprilia has a little extra torque. They are different engine configurations though so power delivery will be a little different with the Aprilia's power coming in earlier thanks to that parallel twin whereas the R6's power comes in higher in the rev range being an online four. A lot of it comes down to the style of riding and what you're looking for out of the bike. The Aprilia is slightly cheaper but there obviously is a large used market for the R6

Don't worry, that was probably the best decision you've made in your biker life :) Buying a new bike as your first, is the one thing that almost every rider can agree on is a bad decision. You will literally waste 50% of the money you spent, and you will rather quickly move on to a larger bike that you will keep for longer, and that old 300 you once bought new, is only gonna be a memory. I mean, of course you would enjoy the R3 for sure! But only for a limited time, and then you'd feel the regret quickly for the hole in your wallet that it burned, once you want to spend the extra cash on a bigger bike after a year or two.
