Lowkey roll racing gsxrs inspired my build 🤣 was searching for one so hard but everyone sold, so I'm going pick up a stock 08 & adding a very slight stretch, nothing like an actual roll race build, flashing the ecu, doing a sprocket change, maybe some other small things & calling it good. Almost bought a fully built one but it sold the day I was going pick it up. Sold my r1 just to build it because I can't get the idea out my head 😅

I don't have it anymore (many years ago) but i had a Kawasaki GPZ100RX with a ZX10 tomcat engine 136 hp. that old gilr looked like shit, farings taped up, but damn did it ever boogie. ten years ago, lining up on my ragged kawa next to a 600. they were in for a surprise :-D

Trouble with the ZX-14R, the engine block is a top-end one-piece. That's right. From the crankshaft center to the top of the cylinder bank where the head attaches, is ALL ONE PIECE. That makes it time consuming, miserable, and expensive to modify and build compared to the good-ol BUSA. The Suzuki cylinder bank bolts to the top half of the crankcase, making it much easier to deal with as a 3-piece block. Easy teardowns and rebuilds. ZX-14R also has a factory oil pump deficiency that requires a high volume gear to solve. By comparison the 2025 Z900 now has much more technology than the 14R. The 14 needs updated badly.

I kind of feel sorry for people that can't ride twisties. Straight line all the time slow or fast has got to get old after a while. Making a motorcycle do what other vehicles can't do, that is to say, lean, is one of the great joys of motorcycle and I don't know if I would be a motorcycle.

The formulas are pretty similar. Exhaust, air filter, tune, lower, stretch, sprockets, brake delete. They can look nice, they’re fast in a straight line but I’ve only seen a few that can actually ride.

First Gen FZ1 can be had for about half the cost of a similar R1, has great midrange power so you rarely need to downshift. If I’m going 70 in sixth, sitting even with the back of a semi, whack the throttle open and I’m doing 90+ by the time I pass that truck !

I joined a motorcycle club when I got into college, and on my first ride with them, we were on the highway going 70-80 mph, then two guys in the club blast past us going, what they claimed to be, 190 mph on a zx14 and an s1k. I'd never seen anything like it. If you've never seen a fast bike in person, you need to.

I prefer drag racing that’s why I got a GSX-S1000 and turned it up! Nothing does my heart better than smoking bikes I shouldn’t be able to smoke! They forget we got the same engine just more of a street version with a lower max RPM but more torque to! That’s and the lower gearing makes it a very quick bike!

To be fair to the r6 guys once your drop a tooth on a ltr bike 186 is still hard to get to, I went -1/+2 on my 08 zx10 and I plan to go back up in the rear, you lose a lot of speed from gearing

There really isnt a good excuse not to ride on the track vs racing on the street. A track day is alot cheaper than getting nailed by the cops. If the track is near by, ride there and home, although i dont recommend that for a few reasons. Can pick up used gear on marketplace or from a race club for dirt cheap. Really its just you are afraid of crashing and embarrassing yourself. There is a busa rider here always talking shit about how fast he his, how hard he rides, doing dank wheelies in the city. Came out to do a track day, got over lapped by a control rider on a r3, got embarrassed and left before lunch.
