Get one of the baby adv/enduro bikes and try to do a full on cross country rally on it. See if it's really up for the miles that the bigger boys can blow through, or if its as good on the trails as an entry level dual sport, something like a klx300. I imagine the answer to both will be no, but it would be interesting to see how much of a compromise there is.

Well you'd be wrong. There's a ton of videos on the CF moto MT450 doing big miles with absolutely NO problems, none what so ever, plus, it'll go places the "bigger boys" struggle to get through or just couldn't, same with the Himalayan 450, and they're less tiring and more fun to ride.... Go look at some videos, there's plenty. Really, I have no idea why you'd even think that....

Yammie, when I saw the thumbnail for this with the Honda Boosted V3 I thought that maybe someone was making a sort of build your own bike kit. With so many people lacking in gear head skills, but love tinkering around with 3D printers these days it would be great if Honda made a build your own bike kit. It would allow them to sell the bike cheap (entry level) and help people get super familiar with how their bike works and how to care for it themselves. They could also set something up with say Bambu Lab 3D printers so that people could custom print cool pieces to further personalize their bike with 3D printed fenders, and covers and such. Anything on a bike that's made of plastic they could create print files for and let people customize their bikes. It would be a cool concept or idea.

I went to my local motorcycle dealer looking at a 2024 DRZ 400 SM, when the sales guy approached me and mentioned they came out with a new 2025 with fuel injection. It was surprising, frankly for the SM I don’t think it needs a 6th gear seeing as it won’t be comfortable cruising at 80-95mph even with a 6th gear unless they made it very tall gearing. Definitely making me second guess getting the 2024 model during our winter in the North East.

Panagali V2 Weight: 179kg no fuel. +15L = 194kg or 427lbs. It's really optimized for low/mid range power. After about 8500, hp increases more slowly and torque drops dramatically. It's a sweet looking and really well equpped bike though, and will probably be a very fun ride. I'd buy one anyway. I guess we will find out how the new mid-range emphisis of this and the R9 translate on track soon enough.

The boosted v3 will be interesting because it is an electrically driven compressor, theoretically it means you can either run no boost, all boost, mid boost.. The fact that you can turn into an NA engine, or big boost boy is amazing. Nlw who knows if they're gonna do that, but I hope they do. Because an 800 cc engine which it looks like, wouldn't need to be on boost when you're just poodling around town, increasing fuel economy.

I think the current Ducati Supersport will go away as it is based on the last generation Monster with the trellis frame. But the Supersport name might remain on a bike that's based on the current Monster 950. Wildly speculating here: The next supersport could be a re-engineered Panigale V2 with a new sub-frame that has a wider passenger seat, much relaxed ergonomics, higher windshield, luggage mounting points and a different exhaust. Ducati could retire the supersport name and revive the ST nameplate.
