But just relax, keep your eyes OPEN, and watch out for other motorists!!!!!!! I mean that. Let me know what you got or are gonna get. Gonna start a channel of my own. I could do the same speeds as the cbr without ever getting above 4k but once you hit 8k to 10k it just starts pulling super hard and the next thing you know your doing 140km/h in a 50 zone. I will say that it sucks ass on the highway, especially if there is any cross wind you'll get beaten up and shoved around. You have no wind protection so long distance rides on windy days aren't all that fun, but in the twisty roads and calm days its a riot. 19 y/o rider here. Just got into riding not too long ago. First bike was a Yamaha V-Star 250 and I practiced riding around my neighborhood before I hit the main road. My first time on the main road was incredibly intimidating and liberating at the same time. I also highly advise for beginner riders to not go for something that would spook you. I’ve been on my 250 for almost a year now and I’m now only getting a Yamaha bolt. I feel like as if you need to have a certain bond with your bike to really understand your own limits. This isn’t recommended; but dropping your bike is a good way to have respect for your machine. It’s something you never want to do and will always hurt your soul if it does happen. But in short; stay within your limits, always wear gear, and if it gets too much for you just pull in somewhere and take a breather. Calm your nerves and never ride emotionally. Stay safe new riders :-)

Also, not a lot of people talk about this, but engine cc =/= horsepower. My 700cc naked bike isn't as powerful as a 600cc sport bike. Different types of bikes have way different gearing, frames, weight, etc, that greatly affect its speed and handling.
@Steinjung4 жыл бұрын
CC for me has no direct link to power and performance of a bike. My Stryker is a 1300cc Twin and I'm pretty shure I would be smoked by guys on 650cc sport bikes.
@np_06034 жыл бұрын
I can make another example. My dad’s BMW R 1150 R makes 90 something hp, that’s less than a Honda CB650R
@ajdegroot19804 жыл бұрын
Yep, and there's a massive difference between types of bikes when it comes to CC's as well. A 300cc sportbike is fine, but for cruisers one tends to look at 1000cc or over. Also, I would say that even hp's =/= hp's...well, sorta. At least equally important is the torque.
@maxlutz36744 жыл бұрын
@@ajdegroot1980 I think that torque and the rpm/torque curve is more important than maximum horse powers. Any power surges make a bike less controllable and more dangerous for beginners. As an experienced rider I still prefer a smooth power curve.

First ride yesterday on Honda CB125R (UK CBT),and man,it feels like riding a cloud, it's so exhilarating and all your senses are heightened. Other bikers saluting you as a newcomer to the bike world, again goosebumps of joy. Never did drugs but I bet this is as close as it can get. One mention, if you had a crap bike in the riding school and you feel demotivated, don't as your bike will be miles better and you'll love it and wonder how you made through the school on that bag of spanners. Always remember to self evaluate your riding and try to correct your mistakes. YOU are the best judge, not the others!

I've been riding for 4 years now, built up a disassembled 94 yamaha 225 serrow, bought it for 175 bucks, rode it, loved it, sold it and bought a 2020 rebel 300, I've been used to country driving and wanted something different. Riding around traffic and in town was nerve racking, after a week I had built confidence in myself and love it, after work a 1-2 hour ride really calms me down, in my own world with my newly purchased helmet speakers and com, the feeling is exhilarating, I got around the "scary feeling " after a few days, confident in my skills and safety it has been a great experience.

A little late, but here goes. I just started riding around 5 weeks ago. I rode some scooters in high school (125cc) and spent a bit of time of a friend's Aprilia RS125 (2006 model). I rode a couple of 600s as well. I am now 31 years old, and given that I've reached milestones in my life that I set out, I'm the happy owner of a 2017 BMW S1000R. Crazy for a first bike. Every single person that I've shown it to has said the same thing. And many folks tried to talk me out of getting one at all. What I felt during my first ride was a lot of power. I still laugh out loud every time I get on it. Really happy with my choice. Channels like this one and DanDan The Fireman are really helpful. Safe riding!

11:55 I’m 13 and started by riding a little 50cc no-clutch dirt bike a year ago, I quickly decided that instead of having to borrow a bike from my local garage I would get my own, turns out that that same garage was selling a 10Ten 125cc, I managed to get it for £325 (Yes I’m English also I want to thank my dad for taking the bulk £200 for me as my birthday and Xmas presents) and I am currently thinking about saving up for a 200cc to 250cc trials bike that I can practice my skills on and then who knows where I’ll go from there. But that wasn’t the question, and yes I have to agree, the first time you ride a bike and the first time you ride a proper bike with a clutch really are something special and you never get to experience anything like the sensation it gives you to ride a motorcycle

I just bought a 200 and even though it’s low cc I absolutely love it. It’s my first motorcycle and the rush you get just from going into actual traffic for the first time not surrounded in a steel box is an absolute adrenaline rush. I crossed the street for the first time on a bike just driving to the gas station just trying to figure out the clutch and my heart was pounding out of my chest. I was shaking so bad I could barely put in my PIN number. I’m looking forward to getting it down and zipping around wherever I want to go on my little bike. I know some people think they need tons of power, but just riding around town on a little bike as a newbie is a rush. I’m sure at some point I’ll want an upgrade but as a new rider I’m freaking loving the feeling even though I don’t have massive amounts of power. Main goal is to not die, save on gas and just feel free while zipping around wherever I want to go. Your videos crack me up. I hope you keep making them. Thanks.

I grew up riding atvs so manual shifting bikes was no problem. You definitely must respect the power of these larger engine bikes are you’ll hurl yourself into a oblivion. Slow throttle twist. I just started riding a 05 suzuki gs500, July 8th was my first day out. I have ZERO experience riding on two wheels, other than bicycles. I did learn to drive a standard car when I passed my G1 but that was almost ten years ago, it helped me understand the clutch on a motorcycle much better but I stalled probably 7-10 times my first day out. (Mainly on hills) Anyways, my first time taking off on the bike felt unreal I'm still getting use to the acceleration and trying to focus on shifting, braking, checking for other vehicles and hazards it's a lot when you're trying to focus on the controls and motorcycle itself. It is a lot all at once but already shifting has become much easier. I don't stall nearly as often, maybe once or twice on my second day out. I rode within my neighborhood the first few days, worrying about traffic and other cars whilst learning the controls isn't ideal. I've been watching motorcycle videos the last year, I'm glad I finally pulled the plug. I think the most exciting part of riding for me is the acceleration, I feel like I'm on a rocket ship!
