Was a great vid. I've been following you for a while and your channel has really developed. Love your comrades. You are all good presenters. Nice work. Keep enjoying the dirt. It is great for your skills and an excellent place to ride 'hard' (Whatever that means for you), whilst not worrying about being hit by a car, or ticketed for speeding. I'm predominantly a road rider, but dirt is fun:)

It's true what they say, you come up as a kid riding in the dirt, dreaming of riding on the street. You grow up, start riding the street, and eventually realize you miss the dirt. You get back on the dirt, and you realize how soft and outta shape the street made you.

I was practically born on the dirt, not on a dirt bike but a street bike which second hand was all I could afford second hand, me at 13 years old and ALWAYS had at least 1 dirt bike during the 52 years since and still do. I'm way too out of condition and carrying far too many old injuries, especially to my knees to really get into serious dirt riding now but that's where my heart is. I do need a complete knee replacement but thanks to some heart damage from a very bad bike accident ON THE BLOODY ROAD, all thanks to an idiot driver they don't want to risk replacing it so, never any serious dirt for me, or at least no jumps. What they were doing I could easily do as long as I do any sliding feet up, something I was fairly good at anyway but now it would be a mater of necessity because there's NO cartilage that isn't full thickness torn in my left knee which is exactly the one you need going anti clockwise like they were. I must admit, I really had that itching feeling of wishing I was there to go screaming past them nice and sideways around those bends and coming out sideways with the front wheel up about a foot lol. That dirt racing bug is hard to shake off.

Grew up riding dirt, made the transition to street in my 20’s and still miss it every day. I think the skills developed on the dirt are some of the most invaluable when it comes to riding on the street. I’m sure I would have a couple of pretty good wrecks under my belt in the past 10years/100k mi if it weren’t for the instincts and intimate understanding of (low) traction and fundamental bike handling skills that are required to ride on the dirt. 10/10 would recommend.

For me it will be, showing dirt noobs how to ride street. And me showing a street rider to ride dirt But I had a heart attack the other day riding my scrambler on the street, when I looked back for a second and a massive ute ran me into the dirt on the side of the road. Lucky I ride dirt usually on that bike so my instinct to switch to gravel was instantaneous and I basically softened up on the front and stood up. Riding dirt then going into street riding is probably the best way to got

I've been watching the channel for two years now, watching all of the street bike content while am actually 15 and the closest thing to riding street that I've done is riding my dirtbike on the highway in Utah. It's cool to see two people experience what I did 3 years ago lol. Now that I do desert racing and am focusing on advanced technique, all of this seems so trivial to my and this was a really interesting back to basics of sorts. It was also funny to see them struggling to stand for a few laps while everyone I know races at high speeds for hours on end.

Everyone should start in the dirt in my opinion. It blows my mind that someone has never rode before buys a street bike with cars and traffic and all the crazy variables that can happen. Starting dirt riding teaches quick thinking on how to recover from a slide or avoid hitting something or whatever and gain a lot more respect of how fucked up you can get on the street

The most fun I've ever had no a motorcycle, well.. Two motorcycles. A Suzuki DS80, and a XR100. If you get either of these bikes, you won't be able to stop riding them. An XR100 has the smoothest, most refined engine ever, and idling around the trails is literally soothing. An XR100 is bigger than a pocket bike, and you can actually enjoy riding it on trails. The downside, don't even try to buy an XR. They are $1 million, used.

I think the idea was to teach them to be able to stand up for extended periods of times. I remember when I actually started riding it was difficult to actually stand while riding for longer than a minute. And that wasn’t accounting for the fact that I had to learn to balance and ride as well. But I also remember that I learnt on a little suzuki 80 two stroke with no ground clearance and a bad carb. I had to sit because I never had the leg length. Then I got a lifted 230 as my main bike.
