No offense but thats kind of a stupid question...just think about it! someone with no experience vs an over 600lb bike vs a 'Beginner' with a small cc sport bike that weighs under 400lbs...its just physics. thus why small cc bikes are considered beginner bikes as you can learn with no experience without yeeting yourself into nonexistence. Old Fart here. Heck, the Svartpilen 401 has more suspension travel than the enduro's I rode in the 1970's. (That's dual sports for you young people). It also has a LOT more power. The Honda and Yamaha 500's had less than 30 hp!

Ok but enduro is not the same as dual sport. Enduro bikes are not for the road at all with 5-10h oil change intervals etc.
@jfess19115 ай бұрын
@@gubocci The term "dual sport" was not used in the US in 1970's that I recall. In that era, most on/off-road motorcycles that were not just mildly modified street bikes ( "scramblers"), were called "enduros". Even Wikipedia mentions that in the article for dual sports. The main difference between enduros and pure off road/motocross was the addition of turn signals. Some enduros had dual-range gearboxes and some even had a small and a large rear sprocket mounted on the rear wheel to make them more versatile.

But 3 months in and I've discovered how versatile this bike is. I go into jungle and gravel trails with my friends in their Adv 390, toured on highway along with some Dominars and Duke 390s and go on city rides almost everyday. It does everything pretty well. Truly a Jack of all trades, master of none (since its my 1st bike, I prefered something that's not a master of one).

I know this video is a little older now, but you can buy the exhaust systems from earlier svartpilen/vitpilen bikes to increase ground clearance. The 2018 model and prior had exhausts that routed up and around the side of the engine, giving better ground clearance, since there haven't been any major changes to the frame design older exhausts fit like the new ones.
