I personally think that the MT-10 SP is the perfect do it all bike. It’s all the nice things the R1M is but in a more versatile package. You can basically do track, touring, and everyday commuting with it.

I owned CBR1000RR 22 and a Hayabusa 23. Now I own an MT-10 SP 23, I can confirm that I’m keeping this one and that it’s the best overall bike. Zero complaints, zero back problems, powerful, torque is awesome. The only downside is gas consumption maybe.

Tracer 9 GT is a gnarly sport touring, would definitely be my choice if I wanted to put crazy miles down. Personally if the trip is under like 200-300 miles I would rather just have a naked bike. Taking back rounds of course.

I personally own a street triple 675 2009 model (my first bike and its restricted 35Kw) im loving every second of it, can't wait to unlock its full potential in a few months. So i would say for touring get the tracer just for having fun on the street the street triple 765.

Noob the RI used to have twitchy throttle, semi-wooden brakes that was a few years ago. And track day riders were making the comments. Trust me I am 68 and had BMW S1000RR and H2 flashed both to the track, and I have come to terms with going fast, track days for me were all about corning at speed, and control in and out of the corners, an injury and close call ended track days for good. Still happy though, have FJR 1300 ES and BMW S1000R and still am happy riding, even at a slower pace. I have had 2 FJRs, a 2006 and 2021, and except for the weight couldn't be happier. Spent 8 hours in the saddle and barely sore, just shoulders with a Cal-SCI large screen. Don't discount the FJR unless dusty travels are in your future.
