As the former VA for Budo, I can only say “His ass ain’t getting into the Martial clubs now” But also, Jesus Christ, a living example of delusions and needing to break away from the internet. When I was pulled in by Yan’s VA to voice for the game, I had just assumed he was this quiet awkward dev always working on this game that would take a while cause it was just him coding. Now 9-10ish years later, I wish I’d have just not taken the job, on the man he became or always was. I know I kept getting scolded by ex fans by why I didn’t see it earlier. I honestly just didn’t, i had one irl interaction with him and that was it, I got all my lines through Yan’s VA. It was only towards the end that my feed got filled with all that he did. My departure should’ve been done sooner, and regret it took longer. My heart goes out to everyone to who got hurt by this asshat, and I’m sorry I didn’t pay attention. The fact that in his response video he talks about "wanting to respect people who have actually been groomed" while claiming what he did wasn't grooming is disgusting. He doesn't respect victims. I was groomed as a preteen and teen online. One person groomed me for less than a year when I was 12 and he was 23 while another guy groomed me when I was 14 and he was 21 and it lasted until I was 19! You can absolutely groom someone even if it doesn't turn into a "relationship" or isn't long term. He groomed a minor, several in fact. It's not rocket science to understand what grooming a child is. Has he never watched TCAP?? Those people text the decoys for less than a few weeks and say similar things to what Alex has said. I think Chris Hansen would love for him to have a seat. I felt like the victim. I felt so guilty and like it was my fault, rationalizing my groomers actions, downplaying it and thinking it wasn't serious...but it was serious. What he did and what people like Alex do are disgusting. I did report the incident to the police, but because of Texas' Statute of Limitations, i would've had to report it at 16 for anything to be done about it. I really hope the victim takes legal action if she's serious about protecting others from being groomed by Alex. Knowing him, he'll never learn his lesson until he actually gets punished. The guy that groomed me also groomed a 12 year old when he was 20 and she told me what happened and felt guilty that she couldn't protect me by not warning me about it. It's a never ending cycle until those groomers get locked away. Sadly I'll never get that justice. I hope this victim does. For her sake.

This was triggering for me. I was abused as a child and to this day I still blame myself. I wish I was more aware when I was younger. Instead I protected my groomer. I deleted the messages. I lied to police. And I regret it to this day. That is why videos like this that untwist the flowery language of a groomer is important. Not just for the victim but also for the groomer. Paedophiles are sick. And they need to acknowledge that and get help for it too. Sorry if this is tmi I did similar (but less bad) creepy/manipulative shit with a 16 year old when I was 18, I apologised then cut contact with them when they told me I made them feel used, that incident helped colour a few things for me. 1 being, I felt like absolute shit after thinking about how fucking weird I was being despite the low age gap, 2 being, if I don't deal with this shit now it's going to blow up in my face really fucking badly later on. I'm thinking about getting assessed for pedophilic psychiatric disorder or other paraphilias so I can at least get some answers and help before my behaviour escalates. I'd hate to say this, but that's kind of an insult to Christine Chan. Moe literally just refers to something with appeal or something which stirs up affection. It can be used to talk about girls, boys, women, men, of any age. It's often used to refer to cute things because people find that stuff very appealing in Japan and it obviously inspires a lot of affection, but I know there are subgenres such as gap moe which often refers to stuff like gangsters with a heart of gold because it's about the appeal that comes from the difference between how someone looks vs how they acts, like a frightening gangster spotted sheltering a stray puppy from the rain. It can be used in reference to attraction but it's not exclusive to that and certainly doesn't refer exclusively to girls. I've even been in several fandoms where characters who are said to be the most "moe" by both English and Japanese fans are older men.

I had an 18 year old girlfriend when i was 14, i had 21+ year old friends when i was 14 and it didn't seem odd to me. This skewed things for me in a way that i'm still recovering from because i realize those things fucked me up and i made some pretty serious mistakes all with no ill will. But one thing i just adapted to was just to stay in adult-only spaces online. I am aware that i just, shouldn't talk to anyone under 18 on principle unless it's needed because you do not want to risk being the cause of someone having the same skewed views you ended up with and going through the same cycle you did. Yandere dev clearly did not realize the issues that him having those friends at that age did to him and now he's going to pass that trauma on to someone else.
