Most of my videos are about game development; it's probably safe for me to presume that most of my viewers come to my channel to see game dev stuff, and not to hear me talk about a yakuza character for over 10 minutes. I wish that all of my videos could be about exciting game development progress, but sometimes it's not possible. When I'm unable to deliver a development video, I try my best to produce something fun and interesting instead. I really enjoy talking about the yakuza character, so that's the direction I went in for this video. This doesn't mean that the yakuza is my top priority, or that I'm going to shove the yakuza in your face all the time; it just means that it was time to make a video, so I chose a topic that I'd enjoy talking about. If you're disappointed about this, I'm very sorry. Please wait for my next video, which is almost certainly guaranteed to be development-focused.

As far as the Yakuza goes, I think the last idea with a subtle blend of the first two is the best way to go, offering a little more depth. It could have started with him thinking the people he was killing were scum, then as it became more difficult to find corrupt people, the Yakuza's boss grew more and more angry with the Yakuza's lack of success in finding 'organ donors' and remarks "If you can't get me what I need, maybe your brother can." So the Yakuza starts killing innocents, fooling himself into believing they are bad people by focusing on their quirks. This leads him to feeling nothing but guilt and shame, the only thing driving him forward is his desire to provide for his kid brother.

I would definitely put Mr. Yakuza in normal mode. Even if there's not as many as there used to be, they still do exist. They seem to think of themselves as business people, and crime is business. I don't think guilt plays a role in it if you just view it as business. Besides you get used to violence if you witness it a lot.. And they are not just bad, they have helped communities in the past, after storms/floods for example. Missing fingers are an indicator as cutting of a finger is a common form of punishment. And they're like a family, calling each other brother, uncle etc. The saddest outcome for this particular guy would probably be his younger brother finding out about his "business" and rejecting him.. So there's no real purpose to live anymore. Very sad. ... Also, I'd totally like one yakuza x yandere ending in which she realized towards the end that her true love is not senpai. They could be a yakuza couple or she gets him to quit and try to lead a normal life.

I think that the yakuza would be implemented wonderfully into the modern game. Perhaps the decline in yakuza in modern times is why the yakuza’s boss has such high standards-and such an immense punishment for not living up to those standards. If members such as this are declining, there would be much higher demand for gruesome services, and for those services to be kept secret. Maybe the stress of losing his high ranked position could be another factor in his stress. Nonetheless, I think that the resources would be great for implementing the yakuza in normal yandere simulator.

I love the idea of the 80's mode personally, I hope that it does get implemented. Specially because, after all this time, a new character (new as in newer than Yandere Chan herself as a game character) will feel much more mysterious and less than a game character everyone knows and considers as a popular-known-semi meme- character. The idea of what happened in the past and playing with a new character whose intention might be very similar, yet being in a different era and therefore with different mechanics really appeals to me and also adds more significance to the game's story.

Yandere Dev, I've been following the development of Yandere Simulator for quite some time now and all I can say is that The Yakuza idea is one of the most brilliant ideas you have planned for the game. It finally shows the society that Yandere Simulator is something that was always meant to be taken seriously (other than Lovesick mode). Also, you have stated in the video that many people disliked the Yakuza idea because of what he does to his victims but honest speaking here, JUST IGNORE THEM. I'm not saying that you must ignore people's suggestions but there are people in the community that want this guy in the game beacause of how we really like his intentions. Going into the life of crime all because of love? That's actually beautiful. Also, Yandere Dev, the choice is yours. You are the brains of the game and you know what's right and wrong for the game. I'm always supporting you and the game. Stay Awesome.

I actually believe that the Yakuza should be implemented (and not just because he looks badass, Bendy...), despite the fact that some of the ideas behind him going against my morals, thus meaning I likely wouldn't use them. But either way, I like it when games have wider options for the player to take, and as you said, this does add a much more serious undertone to the game.

I really want the yakuza in regular mode for a couple reasons. One, we all know the ending to 1980's mode. Ayano's mother wins and the reporter's life is destroyed. I love the idea of a yakuza ending. Something like, yandere chan gets senpai in the end but helps the yakuza kill his bosses, making him the top dog, and her his personal hitman, leaving senpai the husband of the most badass killing machine on the planet. Second, I want 1980's mode to be hard as balls. Adding the yakuza would make it slightly easier, and I don't want the player to have any outside help. Just your own wits and weapons. Third, I want the yakuza because it makes kidnapping so much more useful. Not only can you do something with your kidnapped victims other than make them mind slaves, but you can kidnap someone while one victim is already in your basement. In the end, I support the full implementation of the Yakuza into the main mode of Yandere Simulator.

Historically, people who join the Yakuza are a part of the burakumin caste, which roughly translates into “hamlet people”. These guys are considered to be the untouchables of Japan due to the fact that their ancestors worked in meat packing houses and leather tanning. They can’t get jobs since their names are on a burakumin register, are discriminated against by virtually everyone, and they’re virtually locked into their “caste” for life. The Yakuza movement was born out of these people who desired a community or brotherhood of like-minded individuals. So it makes sense for Yakuza the character to try and give his younger brother a chance he wouldn’t otherwise get since he’s inked up and too deep within the organization.

Modern yakuza is much more preferred by a lot of people. The reason for this is simple: historical accuracy isn't necessarily needed. A solution for the problem, if it's still a problem anyway, could be that Yandere-chan's mother made sure the yakuza still has influence around their town solely because they helped her get to her senpai. This allows Yandere-chan to have a perfectly valid reason, not to mention the pressure would be ON for the yakuza because they need to stay alive and thriving.

I like the idea of Yan-Chans mother having a connection to the Yakuza, maybe she helped them in a way and now they owe her a debt, since she knew that her daughter would end up a Yandere maybe she used this debt to have the Yakusa help Yan-Chan which is how they came into contact in the first place

I personally LOVE the yakuza idea. It adds so much flavor to a game. The character seems kind of mysterious since he is a yakuza. But the way you portrayed the character gives the story of LoveSick a lot more background. It will make you want to replay the game over and over again just to catch things you might have missed. If you don't have characters such as these then what story is there? What in a game would pick up your interest? Honestly I love how different the rivals are...And out of every idea you have spoken about ever since 2015 (I don't remember) I haven't disliked one. You are such a smart guy and your ideas have a lot of emotion. I think the ideas you are trying to pitch out are like the confidants. You have a nice array of characters to choose and hangout with in P5 that will help you make it through the game. And the best part is you can choose who you want. It is good to dislike a character to- it probably means you are into a game! And I must say adding small characters and methods gives the game a lot of well..flavor! You need the sweet characters you love and the salty characters you hate..But when you make your perfect byte then the game is awesome. So in my opinion you should have the yakuza!It is honestly to bad that the only thing I dislike about the game is that it is too schoolgirlish to me..But I bet with your EXTRAORDINARY programming skills you will be able to implement more creative elimination methods and elements that would catch a readers eye..Another thing I dislike..Is the assets. With this amazing game idea- I think the assests and models you use are a little to goofy..But that isn't on you- that is on the creators.

I would agree with you. The game has a very childish look for the dark plot, but YandereDev has already spoken about that, and he doesn't like it either. I think that the Yakuza should be desperate for business and that's why he's willing to work with Yan-Chan, so that way the Yakuza could be in the Modern version of the game.
@clearlynotaneldritchhorror87987 жыл бұрын
I don't mind it being kinda school girlish in art style to contrast with how dark the game can get later on. I've seen other games that get pretty dark use a misleading art style to contrast their dark tone. But I do think the game 100% NEEDS new models to maybe make it look more like how he suggested in a previous video and also so he can do more with each character

I think the idea of the Yakuza in the modern day isn't so unrealistic. Just because 'studies' say they've been in a decline doesn't mean anything. The Yakuza is the Japanese mafia. With today's technology, being able to hide yourself isn't exactly hard. Besides, how would anyone even know they've been declining? Call me crazy, but I don't think anyone is just going to waltz out into the street saying, "Oh, yeah, y'know, I'm just part of the mafia. Killed your neighbors. Howdy!" Seriously. I just find it a _little_ hard to believe they're really "declining" now.

We are also talking about a fictional world in a videogame aswell. A world where the police goes to school to ask around if people have seen a missing person, and when they dont find any clues about what happened to them they call it a day and the case is never touched upon again. People are playing a emotionless killer for fucks sake, not everything has to be super realistic.

The Yakuza rose to prominence after WWII ended when large proportions of Japan's citizens were living in poverty and the government's power had been decentralized. Food, income, safety, and a rigid code of honor- they were destined to explode in size and power. But they *are* in decline, for the same reason the American mafias are in decline- there isn't really a need for them anymore. There are no prohibitions on bad-but-commonly-used-items (drinking, smoking, etc.) so the black market has lost a large customer base. The government authority has been reasserted over the country forcing the Yakuza/mafia to withdraw or else face a firefight that they simply cannot win. And finally poverty simply isn't as prevalent in these countries anymore- and those who are suffering in poverty have many more options now than just turning to crime.

While I think that historical accuracy is a good thing to keep in mind, if you implement the 80's mode and establish that Yandere's mother was able to get into contact with a Yakuza, it's not that far of a leap in logic that Yandere Chan could in her own time period as well.She has more tools and more available to her to find a Yakuza member, despite their decline in modern times. And while it might be harder to access them than it would be in 80's mode, I think it would still make sense to have him. It would likely be more difficult than in 80's mode of course, as a current yakuza member would be more careful in keeping a lower profile, but it would be more interesting to try to unlock him and gain his services. As long as he was challenging enough to unlock to balance out the decline in modern day I think it would fit just fine. I think the hostage idea is a fantastic one. We've already seen the one with Kokona's story, with Masume Ronshaku, so it fits thematically, while taking out the less desirable ambiguous and likely horrible fate, and again balances out the need to have students continue coming to school. On that note though, I wonder how kidnapped students will react on their return to school, depending on their personality and how well they handle such a traumatic event. More over, I am curious about how much the kidnap victim can recall. I suppose that depends on the drug used to knock them out so they can't recall as much, but if kidnap victims get together in some form of support of one another, how likely is it they will talk and slowly piece together any similarities to their kidnapping? Would these similarities then point them towards Yandere Chan? Are some more likely to figure this out than others? Or are there specific students who will shy away from most people all together? Something worth considering. As far as Yakuza backstory goes, I think any of the three presented work fine. If I were to put it down to preference though, I think the first option of taking out corrupt people, while interestingly despicable on Yandere Chan's side is interesting and requires more from the player, it's also a bit...unrealistic? Out of the three options, it rings less true to a Yakuza operative to me. However, if it were coupled with his little brother's view of the world, then that might more sense. His younger brother finds out about a corrupt cop or business and complains to his brother, and big brother Yakuza sees a way to make a mint while taking something that upsets his younger brother out of the world. This would be more in combination with backstories one and two, but would make a bit more sense thematically. You could even combine all three in that sense, if Yakuza's main mission in life is to ensure his brother's safety and happiness, then anything upsetting to him, or endangering him would be his main priority, all while working his way up to offing his boss who is the main threat to the younger brother. In this sense there are more options on how Yandere Chan might operate and work with the Yakuza. Having the Yakuza help her eliminate rivals that could cause the younger brother harm or trouble could be one option, (common enemy) or having Yandere chan be the good influence on the brother, leading the Yakuza to reward her with favors, or to help supply them with hostages for funds to buy allies further up in the Yakuza to off the Yakuza's boss. Many options available, but those are just my thoughts. Overall I love the idea of the Yakuza being implemented, and I would love to see this character make it into the game in either mode. I do think it would be funny if you ended up with both of them, and the 80's mode Yakuza ended up being the modern day Yakuza's boss. Thanks for the updates, and for all the hard work you put into this. It's been amazing to watch the development of this game.

I don't know if I'm 100% with the idea of 1980 mode. I mean, it sounds cool, but I want all of those elements in present time. On the Yandere Simulator website, I saw the mother and father character AND the "reporter". I figured out that that meant that her mother was also a yandere. I really liked that character idea, and again, that "reporter/journalist" (idk), was a cool idea and story. I wish that it was somehow implemented in the current game, and also that both Info-chan and the yakuza would co-exist, because I personally like them both and think it's a great idea. I like the Yakuza story and the fact that there are other things to do and find out, other than just sabotaging and killing people. Besides, when you think about it Info-chan and the Yakuza are very different. My point is, that I wish that somehow you could put the story of the mother and the Yakuza, in the present.
@jeffreyastudillo88517 жыл бұрын
His ideas kind of contradict each other, the 1980s mode bit just threw off the other segments of the video, especially Osoro and the guidance counselor, things like smartphones, of course, shouldn't exist in the 1980s as it wasn't invented yet, but the delinquent old haircuts and popularity of the Yakuza should be something more common and particular to Akademi high and its surroundings rather than focusing on the rest of Japan

Those of you who refuse to utilize the Yakuza due to what he actually does to his victims don't realize what this game is about; who Yandere-Chan really is. As I like to quote Yandev, "You haven't forgotten about Yandere-Chan's TRUE personality, have you?"
@astraldirectrix7 жыл бұрын
Shadowtail She's not completely soulless now than she was earlier in the game's development; she has a limited emotional spectrum that only Senpai's presence can rectify. Whatever her reaction to the Yakuza's methodology of victim disposal may be depends on her morality, which depends on the player.
@davidbowen84567 жыл бұрын
I agree with both of you, but if we really limit Yandere Chan's true potential, we'd also be making her lose a lot of character points. Yandere is such an interesting character to play because she literally has no morals, or at least you can choose that. Yanderechan would definitely be capable of selling chicks to slavery
@molly.bagel67 жыл бұрын
Just because Yandere-chan doesn't feel many emotions doesn't mean she wouldn't have a problem with the Yakuza carting away the rivals. I'm not talking about morals. I'm saying that Yandere-chan's main objective is to get rid of her rivals as cleanly and efficiently as possible. Using the Yakuza would make that goal much more difficult to obtain because of how many students would need to be kidnapped for each rival. It would also make it more difficult for the player- I can imagine Yandere-Chan befriending her rivals or matchmaking them or killing them herself, but I just can't see her helping abduct a crapload of students just to get rid of one rival. It just doesn't make sense to me at all.
@cussundriakneal99047 жыл бұрын
Molly Boyke What don't get what a yandere is, do you? Have you even seen Miraia Nikki? Or 'Future Diary'? There's a reason why Yuno Gasai is the quern of Yandere's, because she's EXACTLY what people think of when they hear 'Yandere'. They do feel, just not as normal people do. They don't get reasoning or guilt, all they care about is themselves and what they desire, which is usually ONE other person. And they are willing to do WHATEVER it takes to make that person theirs and ONLY theirs. Killing the person's entire family, all their friends, every person why even ASSOCIATES with their special someone. And if the Yandere is crazy enough, they'll even KILL their special someone, so that NO ONE can have them EVER. And then they'll usually end up killing themselves, because they 'can't live without them'. Do you see what all of this is? Madness. Yandere's are crazy. They are crazy psychopaths who have lost all reasoning and their grasp on reality. So.... why the fucking fuck would they care about what their actions did to innocent people around their age? They. WOULDN'T. And don't. As long as there are lesser people around senpai, the better for Yandere-chan, because she doesn't fedl guilt. She killed a kitten, because she knows it was horrific and WRONG, but did it in an attemp to feel something, and failed. So why.. would sending teenagers to be either sex slaves or unwilling organ donnars be the thing to make her feel guilt all of a sudden? She knows what she's doing is wrong, she just doesn't care. Because she only feels thing relating to Senpai. Which probably usually consists of Love, Jealousy, Fear, and Anger. Not a lot of good emotions in there, huh?

I just wanted to say that even though the Yakuza were more powerful back in the 80's, they are still very present today. They still have over 53,000 members across all the various groups, and are one of the most powerful mafia-like groups in the world, and they're largest faction, the Yamaguchi-Gumi, make twice as much money in a year as the largest drug cartel in Mexico (6.6 billion as opposed to 3 billion). So having a Yakuza character in the modern day Yandere Sim wouldn't be a problem. Also, I just really like the idea of the Yakuza character so I think he should definitely be in the normal game as well as the 80's mode.

My idea for the counselor/delinquent story: Osoro was raised by her parents in a bad neighborhood. As a result, her parents often beat their only child bc they hated everything around them and took it out on her. Osoro was a little rebellious already, due to having to be tough in her neighborhood. Her parents were also involved in crime, things like theivery, murder, and drug dealing. They were good, but not the best, and young Osoro was stuck in the middle. One day, Mr. and Mrs. Shidesu were caught dealing illegal drugs in an alley. The two plead guilty to all their crimes, knowing they were as good as dead, and also admitted to abusing young Osoro. They were punished with life in prison and their parental rights were taken away. Osoro, just a kid, was put up for adoption. Not long after that, the counselor was visiting the adoption agency after being approved to adopt a child. She saw Osoro, with that scar on her face from the abuse, and fell in love. When she left, the girl went with her. Osoro rebelled even then, refusing to do anything asked of her. The counselor was forced to watch Osoro turn more and more like her parents. Eventually, the little girl robbed a man off the street, and was put in a jail cell for a few days. Osoro grew up living this life of crime, the counselor always rescuing her. Despite the hostility, Osoro loved her adoptive mother, and the counselor loved Osoro. But it still wasn't enough to save her from the punishment of a school where she was forced to follow the rules and listen- Akademi High. Osoro connected with the delinquents instantly. They listened to her complaints and mentioned their own issues, and soon the group was skipping school, coming in late, and more. Due to Osoro's toughness and nature, she quickly rose to the top of this group. She soon became the leader of the delinquents. While the counselor would have expelled them all, her weakness was her love for Osoro. She saw how the girl was calm and more relaxed around them, and because of sympathy and desire to see Osoro happy, she kept all of them at the school.

Try to kill Yandere-chan and obviously die. Then pressured by Yakuza boss, Yandere- chan joins Yakuza, becomes underboss, then she would kill big boss and start ruling Yakuza, with ending scene where she is sitting in that funny Japanese chair in Kimono with Katana in one hand, and sake in other, while underlings would kneel before her.

But its something that does still happen in real life. Its nowhere out of the realm of believability. And if doing it is too morbid, then you can simply not do it. A lot of the additions that have been added to the game have been those to avoid being "morbid and evil", such as not having to actually kill anybody. Also, if the organs are being sold/given to sick and dying people (like Yandere-dev alluded to), then its less morbid than just killing them. The organs are going to save lives in the end. This does make it less evil than just being a rampant murderer, since if you stick somebody into an incinerator you've done less good than the Yakuza would have. In the end, the person will be dead either way, instead their organs are going to be helping people, even if its at a cost. Or you can ransom them so they dont die. Or ruin their reputation so senpai wont date them. Or befriend them so you can go a non-cruel route. How morbid the game is happens to be the players decision to make, and thats the sign of a well design game. Everyone can die, or no one can. And everything in-between.

If you age up the Yakuza a little, maybe you can have him as a link between 1980s mode and regular mode. Maybe he worked with Ayano's mom during her crime spree when he was still new in the Yakuza. Maybe almost getting caught by the journalist is why his boss is threatening his brother. In the modern day, he recognized Ayano as his old associate's daughter and that's part of the reason why he is willing to work with her. I also like the idea of being able to pay the Yakuza in different ways. Maybe different services he provides can be tied to different payment methods. That way, the player can choose how ethical they want to be. After all, it would make sense to scale the gravity of the payment method to the gravity of the desired service.
@bookworm13x7 жыл бұрын
This would also explain why the Yakuza is gunning for his boss and why the cost of his services rise weekly regardless of usage. If his organization is losing power, now would be the perfect time to strike. After all, who better than the daughter of the woman who caused him so much trouble to finally help him end it.

Try to balance pleasing demands with your own vision for the game. You'll never please everyone. Some will want the game to be darker and more brutal, while others will want things to be tone down. I like your approach to include a large range of possible actions for the player to choose from. It's okay and normal for the worst of the methods to be uncomfortable for some; I don't see this as a problem. The Yakuza declining isn't actually that big of an issue because that can be acknowledged in the story and perhaps lead to the organization willing to make strides to regain power or create incentive for underlings to take advantage of the situation to try to advance within the organization. I do like stories having more depth though, and it's nice for you to think out the story more. I don't see any problem with players whom wish to play the game out as a pacifist, perhaps even befriending the rivals to overcome them. But, just because that may be a way a portion of players wish to play, doesn't mean that the opposite approach should be restricted based on the dislikes of such players. Some of us, like myself, may even want to experience the game from both ends. Ultimately, I like variety, depth, (romance) and the joys of discovery within my games. So, anything going against those aspects is concerning to me, especially when it's in the name of censorship or pandering.

The Yakuza character in the 80s should be the boss of the current Yakuza character, with his personality being a chaotic evil with hunger for power. The current Yakuza character should be a mixture of your suggestions - a man who finds a reason in the organization's actions, but feels remorse when taking up jobs he finds no redemption in. He should be calm, but not emotionless, composed, but not a rock, and should make players question their sense of justice.

Ain't that not the definition of dark and gruesome? Yandev can go a lot darker if he wanted to but all the whiny complainers would be complaining the game is too dark for them. I think the yazuka should be in both 80s mode and modern mode ((note: 80s mode and having it be a difficulty mode is a brilliant idea)) In 80s mode, maybe there aren't delinquents, so you have to find a harder way to access him. Then in modern mode, you could have the delinquents to use as a way to have the yakuza. Also, I don't see how Info-chan and the yazuka are too close to each other. They give out completely different kinds of services in completely different ways. You couldn't use the yazuka to ask for something small and a minor thing to use cheaply. And you wouldn't use Info-chan as a means to straight out eliminate someone for a high price. That's my take, at least.
@StopTrynaBeTikTok7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I see Info-chan as a means of helping the player in a plethora of ways, while the Yakuza is just another kill method with some backstory.

Having 80's mode would be cool but I don't think it is necessary, I think having the yakuza in modern day is fine. It is a fictional universe where the yakuza could not be on such a decline. Personal I like the second motives for the yakuza character for two reason. One it gives an ending to Yandere (I forgot the her name) which would fit in the theme. After working with them for a while and help killing the boss, she become the new boss. The second one is I like it better for the character then the other ones. I think having hostages would make sense but there should be an consequences for doing it too much. Maybe there should be more security if to many kids are kidnap or some start leaving. Thank you for the clearing up my ideas about 80's mode (some more nicely then others).

Brian 80's mode is totally an idea for a sequel though
@L.R.R.H4137 жыл бұрын
yea 80's mode isn't necessary but i feel if done right it could add more plot into the game but i like the idea of the yakuza being in ayano's normal game better Maybe 80's mode can be a different ending for ayano, like remember the tapes that are hidden around the school? How about every time she finds them it turns kinda into a flashback of her mother's story and in the flashbacks you play as the mother a little bit in the 80's and if you collect them all then you get a new ending maybe its called "reliving the past", "finding the truth" or "it runs in the family" lol but you dont have to collect them because it's not mandatory for the game and this way it add more to the replay value and overall story without having to work in a new mode :D

Alrighty, some interesting choices this time around. I'm going to start with the most obvious one, the whole "Yakuza is 1980's only" idea. To be frank, while I like the idea of the mode itself(While I often suck at them, challenge modes are an important part of games in my opinion) I dislike the idea of losing that much possible story and/or potential power in the main game. As far as his potential story goes... The "He is only targeting corrupt people" sounds decent in theory, but it kind of makes it a bit off. To be frank, it sounds like the kind of excuse that Yakuza would be making to help himself sleep at night. Which to be honest, is perfect if used that way. I feel like a combination of the latter two options would be the best result. Naturally, his boss is going to be paying close attention, and him wanting to climb the ranks for the sake of keeping his family safe makes a lot of sense. But he would also need to shed a lot of morals to be able to rationalize kidnapping, prostitution, murder, and all that other lovely bunch of coconuts that comes with the organized crime route. The "Too many dead students = bad end" route is perfectly fine, keeps people from abusing death. I heavily disagree with the idea that "Info-Chan" and "Yakuza" are exactly the same though. For one thing, Their methods are far different. Based purely on examples you have shown, Info isn't going to be going around kidnapping people, or murdering them for you. She looks to be purely a source of information and items. The easy example would be found in the old debug builds host of weapons: Things like katana or other heavy duty weapons would be beyond her, due to age and not wanting to be arrested, while someone like Yakuza would be perfectly fine with dropping off a gun or sword if you paid the right price. Small items. A pocket knife, a screwdriver, cleaning supplies...Those all sound like things Info would bring to the table, and give her a reason to be still there: Why would the Yakuza bother on delivering a mop or some towels? He is in it to make money, not your local convenience store. For another, Info is exactly that. Information. Being able to spy on people is practically an art as much as it's a skill, and a major time Criminal isn't going to risk going through inane conversations that would be found at a school on the hope that they might find something interesting, they are going to look for things that will bring them in decent money or power, like bad business deals, or a store that just isn't making the money it used to. Info chan on the other hand can provide you with the stuff that will help you in the micro scale, like how to pander to a persons desires and needs to get into their social circle, or possible small term blackmail that you can handle yourself. To that end, I feel the two are in perfect harmony. Info chan is there to give you the tiny details, Yakuza is the large hammer you break down a wall with. Naturally, how its handled is your boat, not mine, but I feel the two are different enough to coexist. The idea of having a happy ending for the "Yakuza route" is also pretty nifty. This way its still a punishment, as you have to live with what you have done(Assisted in terrorizing or straight up destroying the life of someone otherwise innocent) but you get something more out of it than a bad ending. I look forward to how you plan to handle it. As for your conclusion... You don't need to be sorry over giving us otherwise good news. Your pace has been bloody fantastic these days and as far as I'm concerned, allowing us to see some of the ideas you have makes up for not seeing the nitty gritty details of game design. There is a reason companies pay a lot of money for artists and story-boarders, and that's because it takes some effort to make everything link up. You are doing just fine.
