I don't know if you remember the '78 Series, game 4 in New York, but I do. I specifically remember Reggie Jackson, who was on first, interfering with a ground ball on the right side of the infield. The umpire declared all runners safe and the Yankees scored to take the lead, tying up the Series and then going on to win 4 games to 2. Jackson was asked point blank if he interfered with the ball. He broke into a great big grin before denying the interference. Three years later at Dodger Stadium, also game 4, Jackson dropped a fly ball which allowed the Dodgers to score and win that game. Jackson was asked if he lost the ball in the sun. In a profanity-laden response Jackson he said yes, he lost it in the sun. Also during the 1981 series a Yankees fan held up a sign that said "Don't the Dodgers ever learn?" The Dodgers went on to win 4 games to 2. Add that to their fifth-inning meltdown and it just feels SO GOOD!

@ What absolutely amazes me about that play is that it's almost identical to Mookie's at bat in the 1st inning. On that one Rizzo took it to the bag so Cole clearly expected him to do the same int 5th inning. Another major mistake took place in the top of the 8th. The Dodgers had just tied the game and Ohtani came up to bat. The catcher interfered with Ohtani's swing sending him to first base, clearing the way for Mookie to drive in the winning run. The gift that keeps on giving.
