I have no idea why they are not more popular. I have a YM235 and have just north of 700 hours on it in 2 years with zero issues. It punches way above it weight and i don't baby the thing. Use it around the homestead and for logging.

It’s all in the marketing I guess. I looked at them all, and IMO the Yanmar quality is the leader. And with a 10 year warranty, how could you go wrong. I live my SA425

Great little tractors eh?

In my experience, which is admittedly very little, Yanmar engines love running on the ragged edge. My family has owned a JD 650 with the 2cyl Yanmar, bought new in the 80's. It's spent every cutting season since with a finishing mower cutting four acres at wide open throttle, 3k rpm. Besides yearly maintenance (fluids and filters), we've had zero issue with it. I really hope these newer Yanmars live up to that expectation.

I agree. I run this thing at 3000 and it loves it. Smooth, and lots of hydraulic power

Use those rear remotes, and get a hydraulic top link, game changer for the landscape rake, you can change the angle on it easily with one.

I actually have a hydraulic top link but haven’t installed it yet. But you’re right.

@@highlandoffgrid You don't have to use the brake wire thingy if you don't want, press the brake pedal and hold it, then pull up the handle and let off the brake and it will hold it. To release, just tap the brake pedal.

Nice. I have the Yanmar 425 as well with the bucket, backhoe, and snowplow. What’s interesting I’m seeing is, I must be the only 425 owner with no rear 3rd function hydraulics. Mine didn’t come with it when I purchased it.

I also have the forks.

I like the tractor but I will need a cab with ac and heat…. But basically every tractor is the same… with some little differences …cause John Deere is built mostly over seas… not even American made…. The biggest difference is the cost….15-20 grand less than John Deere and kabota….
