Really nice to hear your thoughts on badger brushes while actually using one during a shave. While many prefer the "face feel" of badger, I find a well broken-in boar to be a superior choice when it comes to natural hair brushes (haven't tried horse ... yet), with synthetics being a close second. Take care and have a great rest of the week 👍

Thanks Alex, hope I'll make some more interesting findings in upcoming trials as well. So far, I was more thrilled how two band badger fur feels under fingers, rather than how it feels on the face, tbh 😁

Hi. Never seen you use a badger brush. I agree badger - between a synth and a boar. Will be interested to see how this brush breaks in. I soak my natural hair brushes for at least 10 minutes. The ring of death 👍 Greetings from Budapest

Yup, this was premiere. Back in 2018 I wasn't even closely interested in shaving ☺️ nor the filming. This was bought month ago as pure money-burn without any expectations. Will see how it'll work for me, pure badger was dissapointment to remember for a long time 😁 But, as said, this one have that "free money" scent to it so I hope I'll like it more.

I have a pure badger shaving brush and a boar. I love the backbone of a boar but the lather dries up for the second pass so i have to take the shaving cream again

Same issue here, but I kinda fixed it in "lather hog" video for Semogue while with Omega I don't have that issue. Maybe try longer soaking or heavier loading of the soap/cream? Of course, boar bristle type can also make a difference (natural, bleached) I like boars for that learning & growing together experience, and once you break it in it almost feels like shaving with an old friend 🤗

@@Wicked-Whiskers I have omega boar, I guess i will try adding more cream/soap. I love boar too, i like the backbone and that they are cheaper

For the money/value ratio noone can beat the boar ☺️ I'd say that natural bristles do steal bit of lather for their soaking, so if bristles are more saturated with water, they should be less likely to steal lather, if that makes sense? And if you can spare some Arko for couple tryouts, you're half-way lather ninja 😎

@@Wicked-Whiskers I have arko, i should try this

@@zarmanavice4488 Sounds as a plan 🤗 Jokes aside, I always use Arko for any tryouts because it's dirt cheap snd with consistency just in the middle (not to hard not too creamy) so it can be used as benchmark. I also use it for new brushes, 1st wash in hair shampoo, 2nd with Arko bowl lathering and that's it, ready for use and progressive breaking in
