So I started with milo in the spring. My soul test came back with depleted N and P. It has been awesome with the Milo. So now I’m at the point of what to throw down next. We are in the end of may temps have been not that hot yet. Any recommendations.

I'm going to use Yard Mastery instead of Andersons on my Bermuda this season. I've been using Andersons 10-101-10 Balance, buy Yard Mastery uses 7-0-20 Stress Blend as a first app for the season. Is there a comparison out there I can check out?

Can I use potassium all year when my St Augustine is struggling. Evidence of chlorosis and doesn’t seem to be grabbing nitrogen or iron and appears not lush in some areas. Ruled out watering, and grubs. Sent in soil sample. Thanks

Warm season here in Texas, summers are 100+ with no rain. Is that not a time to use stress blend? The app says flagship, I also use milo
@LonghornsLegend
@LonghornsLegend 7 ай бұрын
The app is often incorrect, I had to use my calendar in the app and put my dates in myself. I prefer stress blend out of dormancy in spring and late before it frost over. In between I think it's up to you and your lawn. Last year I did flagship all summer, this year I'm gonna use Double Dark in the summer. Even over 100 degrees here we can still put down some nitrogen safely

Great content! Your app wants me to lay down the stress blend this week. Then today it switched to flag ship, even though I hadn’t completed stress blend. I bought the large stress blend because it showed me using it at least twice this year - now it ONLY shows Flagship. What’s going on?
@yardmastery
@yardmastery Жыл бұрын
the app will adjust recommendations based on soil temps. For warm season lawns it will recommend stress blend in spring and flagship towards later spring and summer. You can and should still use the stress blend that you have on hand. It will work just fine.

Cool season, in CO, and have soil test results in the app, but some conflicting info on this video compared to what the app told me. I just put down Stress Blend, as that's what the app said. But this video is saying Flagship and come summer use Stress Blend for cool season grass? Which is correct? Thank you.

??? I feel like my upcoming 2nd application up here in NJ (mid-late May), is kind of in between Flagship and Stress blend. I'm on the fence but leaning toward Stress blend. I applied Flagship and Prodiamine Pre in early April, so I'm also wondering if I should be applying Pro/Pre again fer this throw down? Lawn looks amazing, just losing a touch of deep green and I pick maybe 2-3 dandelions a day. Advice?
@yardmastery
@yardmastery Жыл бұрын
if you have prodiamine on hand, you can apply another app now for sure. For the fert, it really depends on your desire to mow. The Flagship will keep things moving and youll still need to mow often. The Stress Blend won't push as much growth but still keep the lawn pretty green.

For cool season Why do you recommend the flagship high nitrogen in the spring when the grass is going to take off anyway without it. I’d be mowing every day to keep up with it if I gave it that much N in the spring.
@yardmastery
@yardmastery Жыл бұрын
My strategies are designed to get the lawn thicker and you do that by encouraging growth when the lawn already wants to grow. Like a bodybuilder taking supplements to pump up his workout. As far as mowing, the app rate only yields .75lb/N/1000 (50% slow release) which isn't enough to cause a flush of growth, rather, sustained effects over 30-45 days. Give it a try and see, the color you get is amazing.

My soil sample said two applications of stress blend to start the year (cool season lawn) and then follow up with freedom, so this won’t start with to much Nitrogen, does that seem ok (I was low on nitrogen and potassium)

when you have the soil test program, you follow that because it's tailored exactly to your soil. It won't give you too much of anything, all good.

@@yardmastery definitely happy I went through the comments in this video. I couldn’t understand why it recommended two applications of stress blend either. Now I know it’s because of the soil kit. Good to know. I do have one question though, it was giving me 2 applications of freedom and two of flagship through the soil test recommendation but under calendar, it only tells me to “thrower down” once each. Which should I follow?
