What a great find! I had a '87 Magna and loved the heck out of that powerhouse! The only reason I got rid of it was because there was an electrical short somewhere and the shop didn't want to touch troubleshooting it. Everything else was exceptional.

Well done..to see you as excited as a kid...I also have a 750cc magna...man does it go for a V4...out performs my shadow hands down..mines 27 yrs old and gets a look everywhere I take it with those 4 exhaust pipes out the back...that was a real "shut up n take my money" shot....400 bucks was a steal and at least you know it was running...that handshake was quicker than a John Wayne shoot out...congratulations..and the fact your family were so onboard is excellent..ride safe

Nice bike. Love the old beasts. Presently have a nicely restored 1984 Honda VF700F Interceptor in Freddie Spencer red, white and blue. Still gets the looks and still a screamer. The old girl sits proudly next to my 2013 Honda VFR1200F in tuxedo black and silver. Love them both! Ride safe brother!!

Score !!! I’ve been dabbling in buying fixing and trading bikes. Only have 3-4 so far but have yet to regret it. If you do your research and have a little time and money it’s a great hobby. Currently working on a 1988 Suzuki intruder 750 I got for FREE! But no title no key and been sitting in my ex girlfriends yard like 15 years. It’s part way torn down and after some new plugs, shoes, battery, ignition and carb clean I’m thinking it should fire up. Def new fork seals also. But I estimate less than 300$ in parts. With only 18,000 miles on it. I can have a little fun with it and probably sell it for a grand in my area. The title is possible to obtain too. But I’ll most likely keep it as a backup bike. I def dig this one man !400$ is a killer deal. !

Love your channel. If you're interested, buy an Auto Joe 24V cordless battery power air pump. I have one, and it's amazing. I would use a manual pump just like you in the past and the Auto Joe was a game changer. Especially with kids and basketballs, footballs, kickball, etc... Edit: Yes, I ride as well. I've got a 2013 Yamaha Stryker and a 2022 Yamaha MT 10. 💪

When I was young in the late 80’s early 90’s I knew a guy that had a V45. He would drag race any 500 to 750cc sport bike. He would kill every one of them. I rode it once. Did well over 100 on it and it went into death wobble. Lucky I was on a long strait road. Just relaxed and let off the bike worked out it’s problems and I never rode it again.

@2 WHEEL FAMILY on the older 4 carb bikes. Do you use 4 vacuum guages to tune them? Also do you bench sync them. I restore alot of 70s an 80s kz bikes. Kz 650 750 900s an 1000s. If you run across any old kz 900 or kz 1000s pick them up. Restored in good condition they go from 5k to 15k
